    Toyota='the garage"

    i like it.

Van Gundy gives this team a 'new tune up' at 'the garage'

Yao Mings no-driving-ass needs to leave his car at - "the garage".

speaking of Yao and Toyota I'm thinking since those guys got the naming rights and all maybe they should give Yao Ming some offroad type 4 runner to drive so to ease the damage his vehicile takes when he runs over curbs and trash cans and bajas over the esplanades. maybe, maybe yeah.

If you're technically interested in proving that you came up with the idea first you can mail yourself a letter with the name contained inside. That way it's sealed and postmarked and everything.

I've heard that this is actually considered acceptable practice.

I'm going on record as saying that they should have named it the "Toyota Summit." That way we could call it "The Summit" and it's a link to the past.

If not The Summit, I'm all for The Showroom. But The Garage would work in a pinch.

Too bad the naming rights didn't go the Amaerican Standard company...

... then it could be called "the big toilet".... or "the crapper".... maybe "the throne room"...

I bet they'd have the best bathrooms of any stadium in the country, though

(note: For those who are unfamiliar with American Standard - they are one of the largest manufacturers of toilets in America)

When the Grizzlies played in Vancouver at General Motors Place, that place was known as the "garage", so I feel it's taken already.

    Showroom sounds cool.

The Showroom is catching on now. I like it better than the garage. Someone mentioned the Grizz had the garage before.

The Showroom. I actually like that one.

I'll take "tha' Showroom" over "the Garage" simply because if we started to refer to TC as the "Garage," it would give opposing team's fans a chance to diss the arena we paid for by calling it, "the GARBAGE" (Gar-Bah-ag) say it in French, you'll get the point. ;)

Plus, if we refer to TC as "tha Showroom" it would give us Rocket fans the luxury of refering to the home basketball court as "tha' Showroom FLOOR!" :D

ya i was thinking about the garbage thing, but in the long run a tougher name such as soldier feild, the junkyard, the garage, goes better than a classier but fruitier showroom. to me garage seems like a place where nobody wants to play in, its our house

The agarage is just too dirty I think. I think 'd go with elegance over toughness right now.

Think of the benefits whenw e acquire new players and our name is the showroom?

Now think about how, if we go on a home losing streak, people will say we fix their losing streaks in our garage.

But then again, we can say how we always get thigns fixed when coming home?

I'd be much happier with the showroom. Like someone said, the garage was used already.
