i ran into sland balla who was sitting right behind me in section 402. i think he is either pakistani or indian...just an observation.
Coming from LA... I have to say that there are multiple areas of LA county, where ENTIRE CITIES have been converted to Taiwanese/HK/Chinese through white flight and gentrification. Hacienda Heights, Rowland Heights, San Gabriel, Cerritos, Arcadia, Monterey Park, Alhambra, etc. etc. etc.... Case in point: Houston: 4 small Chinese grocery stores, 2-3 medium-sized Chinese supermarkets LA: no less than 25 full-sized (Fiesta-sized) Chinese supermarkets
Yep Monterey Park in SoCal and Cupertino in NorCal are pretty much all Chinese. You can pretty much survive in Cupertino if you only spoke Mandarin.
I don't know, Sugar Land IS pretty big... *NOTE TO NOT PISS PEOPLE OFF* Even Indian international student friends of mine who have never been to Houston know all about Sugar Land. And I mean ALL about it. Same with Chinese international student friends of mine.
ummm......so what, who cares how many of any race there was.....as long as they were cheering for the rox!
My poor mom during the game... the dude next to had the worst BO ever. Smelled like curry mixed into a dirty diaper My eyes were watering and I was 4 seats away from the dude. Yay diversity!!! Yay showers!!!
Go Brown? Arguing over the favorite sport of choice among certain nationalities/races? Is it just me or has the quality of thread subject matter gotten WORSE since the playoffs started.
No matter the skin, just root for the Rockets and you're good in my book... I was at the Rox-Lakers game in LA last year and there were a bunch of Mexicans there...does it matter? Probably not...oh well, carry on...
to derail the thread a bit, a good 80% of the asian girls there were absolutely stunning. here's to more of that tonight
LOL! Cricket is definitely an acquired taste, as is baseball. But One day cricket is 10X more exciting then baseball. Scores in cricket sometimes - 400-350 Scores in baseball sometimes - 1-0
anything that takes days to play for one result is not my cup of tea. btw, I lived in London for a year and a half when I was a kid so I have played that game.
