I didn't say put the rowdies in the upper deck. I'm just saying have the Rowdies AND the upper deck be a madhouse. Have them both be loud as hell. I'd even be for having Rowdies on both baselines.
The Nets do the same thing. They don't have that at NHL games, NFL games, or MLB games. I don't even think the MLS had it. When did it go from watching the game to being there?
I hear what you're saying about the Astros, but right now Astros are putting out their best product in several years you would think the fans would want to come out and check it out. I know the Texans have sold out evert game, but if you have watched any of the non prime time or non playoff game you would see an empty lower bowl at kickoff.
1. Attendance for the Astros will pick up this summer once kids are out of school. But the city is just waking up to it. Most people aren't following standings every day...particualrly for a team that lost 106 games last season and came into this season with absolutely no buzz at all. The previous season's results are the biggest indicator of ticket sales in a year. For example...1986 was a great year for the Astros...so they kicked ass selling tickets in 1987, even though they weren't as good as the season before. 2. I've watched and I've been there. Texans have a rabid fan base, particularly for a team that's only made the playoffs once in it's 10 year existence. If you're using the support the Texans get to suggest Houston fans aren't good, you're missing the boat entirely.
That's because it's hard to get into Reliant all at 1 time. There are only 4 entrances (5 including the club seat entrances) and the only way to get to your seats is to go up the escalators and the ramp. People still get to their seats in time for kickoff though. Doesnt matter though, Texans always sell out. So I'm not seeing your point
