I'm going to take control of my life and change it myself by sitting with thousands of others listening to this Dave person tell me about where the country is going? I don't know; that doesn't sound very empowering.

Btw, what's with all the different formats for taking questions? That's got to be a confusing mess. If you can ask a question via Facebook, you can do email.

Go crawl back into your little hole and sing praise to your Marxist ideologues.
You contribute absolutely nothing to this board and your hatred for this great country makes me sick to my stomach.

For the rest of you simpletons....

I would rather sit in a room of like minded people set on sharing positive ideas on how I can improve my quality of life then watch the dra-media acting like a bunch of chicken little's and causing hysteria in the people who watch that crap.

And for the record it was Christian values that founded and grew this great nation and helped us prosper to the point where a bunch of Starbucks sipping malcontents like yourselves can sit here freely and endlessly complain about how bad things are. If you were in Cuba, China or mother Russia they would drag you out of your house and take you to the re-education center or processing; or maybe just put a bullet in your head and right through your fragile little mind.

As far as Dave Ramsey is concerned all he does is preach common sense. He does make reference to the Bible, so all you atheist / secularists can chime in and rant, but thow too shall prosper if you practice what he teaches. As for the government well they have been trying to get their little social engineering programs to work for the last century and all they have done is fail. If they were an employee or a contractor they would have been fired long ago; and if people would pay a little more attention to their local politicians all this can be corrected.

Yep the government should definitely tell you how to run your life.

You might want to take some basic American history.

And for the record I boycott Starbucks.

    You should try coffee from:
    http://crsfairtrade.org/coffee/

It has a fine taste, and you won't be a part of evil republicans who take full advantage of our farmers.

Why is it you know so little about the country you purport to love so much?

I could ask the same of you. The Holy Bible, along with other writings was an integral part of founders references for proctoring the US Constitution.

Don't be jealous because I actually have friends

O God, not another was-this-country-founded-on-Christian-principles debate! :( Around and around we go.

Please cite one example of a Biblical reference in the Constitution.

This is what goes through my head when I read a lot of OddsOn's posts...the level of condescension while at the same time talking up his faith in Jesus comes off as a bit absurd.

Being a Christian does NOT equal seeing America as infallible or being conservative or voting Republican. Jesus is not a gun-toting warhawk who bemoans gays or calls poor people lazy. (Nor is he a hippie liberal). That just upsets me.

Apparently you cannot read. I never said there were references in the Constitution. But the Bible and Christianity were a definite bedrock to its writing.

Here I will wet your appetite with a great quote from John Adams:

–John Adams in a letter written to Abigail on the day the Declaration was approved by Congress

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." --October 11, 1798

No hatred here. Just because I don't agree with someone's opinion or behavior doesn't mean that I hate them..

Ever notice how some rabid winger types have these fantasies of what they fear the most actually coming true, but somehow, it would only impact those that disagree with them? As if death is a suitable punishment for disagreements about politics? It's almost like they would welcome such a turn of events as long as their new masters dispensed with only those they didn't like and allowed them to live so they could wallow in the comeuppance those with a "bullet in the head" received. It's a strange world where Americans fantasize about some oppressive government, be they communists or radical Muslims, rounding up and shooting your perceived ideological enemies... and it's just downright pathetic when they only express it as a last line of argument.

    By the way...

This quote does not mean what you think it means.

It seems pretty clear to me. If you have a different definition please share it with the class...

Please show me where I said that?

Alas, but this has nothing to do with the original topic of the thread which was about spreading hope and change; that actually have substance.... :p
