I think more about the Nassau Bay Hilton that Clara Harris ran over her husband at a few hundred meters away across the street than I do JSC when I'm on NASA Road 1. 1. I mentioned the TV Show tapings but there's only a few. Fact is movies and shows are filmed all across the region, particularly in places like Burbank. 2. Universal Studios isn't quite in Highly Weird, as someone else pointed out. 3. Will have to see next time... 4. Meh. On one hand that's cool and I applaud anyone that can create artwork like that but you can find a wax museum in lots of places. Yeah like ____ in Houston...uhh... I'm trying here.... Houston really needs a street like so many other major cities have. Dare I say, a tourist trap street that gets national recognition to draw people in and then people can discover some more legit tourist options in the area, such as Galveston, Kemah, the SJ Monument (despite it's puzzling location next to the refineries), etc... As with any place like that, it gets by on reputation.
I was just at the former Riot Hyatt and enjoyed it. Nice rooftop pool. Went to the Comedy Store next door again, good stuff. All comedians were good except some guy called Argus Hamilton, actually felt sorry for him because he was so bad. As a proper tourist, did the Warner Studio tour, too.
Did you take the TMZ tour? Hollywood is also about nightlife, so if you're into going to the club then that's an option, other than that it becomes a short walk with lots of people depending on the day. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/d08G5RZSu5Y" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TQcSaWPKzuo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
