We have just seen the toughness of the Rockets as bes describe as how much toughness it takes to bring on Mr Van Gundy!

The fact we put them away was the biggest difference.

It sure looks like the "getting it" has occured- we pretty much led this entire game, which seems right in line with that 4 game streak in the preseason in which we trailed a grand total of 17 seconds.

I saw a big improvement in Steve's defense and the team as a whole- with Cato and Yao back there, a few more risks can be taken, and so the perimeter guys can really play tight. Steve's 6 assists were right around his average last year, but the team as a whole had 21 assists- HUGE improvement, and it can be seen with 6 guys reaching double digits.

If Eddie can work his way back, we'll be in serious business. I think we're a rotation big man, and a backup PG away from being a juggernaut type team.

Jim Jackson just fits the team better than Posey. Posey had a tendency to play out of control, which didn't help Francis or Mobley rein in their games. JJ plays D and can do a wide variety of things on O.

i dunno if i will get flamed for this, but the rockets looked like the old knicks, but with obviously ALOT more offensive power! i mean, my old knicks were beatin' fools up on a nightly basis! if you were gonna come into their paint, you may get the basket, or you may not, but you certainly would get an asswhoopin.
that team will be a force to deal with if they can bring that kinda intesity on a nightly basis... and they were running on everychance they could get! i love it!

i love the new desire this team plays with. and im on the braggs bandwagon. braggs is the type of camp fodder that actually contributes that the rockets have been missing for many years. seems like all the top teams always find a player that knows his role and does it well and complements the tea.

and from now on until moochie does something positive all my post will end with something bad a about that scurb. move over cato there's a new scrub in town.

This is a surprisingly valid observation.

Yes. I like Braggs inside toughness. He's made for the post and rebounds. He's got pretty good hands for the job.

From what I've seen, he seems to be a better rebounder than Cato. Cato can rebound. But Braggs seems to be able to rebound, and then go backup quickly for the put-back.

RIET is not so much a pessimist, but a Posey lover to the point where he subconsiously want the rockets to fail to prove that we were stupid to let Posey go.;)

the way jim jackson plays defense against carmelo reminds me of dan majerle. majerle used to use his strength to push the offensive guys out and hand-check them.

    Well, said.

Being ahead most of the quaters. And executing in the late 3rd and 4th is sooooo important.

When JVG was talking about how the Rockets squandered leads and made "iso" mistakes in the 4th was the cause of our losing close games.
