Damn that really sucks. My condolences. Tough to lose anyone, but I can't imagine how tough it must be with someone that close to you.
Thanks for all the kind wishes, thoughts, and prayers. I have two living brothers and a sister. It's hard on all of us, but luckily we're close, and pull together when things like this happen. I look forward to being able to see them. I just feel so bad. My brother was so close to getting a fresh start. It was just one complication after another, and it was too much in the end. He was really motivated to get better and do what he needed to do to get better.
I'm sorry for your loss, FB. There are no adequate words at a time like this, with life and the concept of fairness seeming to have nothing to do with each other. The longer we manage to live, the more life throws that in our faces.

Can't imagine how it feels to lose a sibling, my brother is the person I'm the closest to. Losing your brother in this tragic way must be even harder because you weren't prepared for it and the death slaps you in the face. Hope you and the rest of your family go through this time together and support each other when it's needed. May your brother rest in peace.

I was just sitting here thinking of my 8 year old daughter who has to go in for another surgery for a tumor in her skull. Doctors and professors from around the world have said that they've never seen this type of tumor act this way before, and have no answers. In some ways I can feel what you are going through, as I am expecting the best, but preparing for the worst. I give you my condolences, prayers and some advice; Focus on the time that you spent together, and have an attitude of gratitude for the fact that you did have that time to share with your brother.
