either surgery --- out for season

or rehab --- out 3 weeks

seems like D-wade 2 years ago. But he never regained his dominance after coming back from rehab at the end of that sesaon...

so it's really a tough injury for nelson

Exactly. It is tough, if he comes back after rehhabing, he won;t be nowhere near 100%.

So it is better for him to have the surgery, but it prettu much kills Orlando's hopes in the playoffs.

Nelson basically tripped by the loose ball and fell on his shoulder. That's unfortunate. It's not even Erika Diaper's fault.

Only if was bought out - then he could sign as a FA. I can't see how the Magic would have enough salary to trade for him outright.

Just some fyi, i saw jameer nelson today
He was at a gaming event at the university of central florida today.

He was there, so was derek jeter, tiger woods, john cena, and reggie bush.

They all were really cool. I was surprised to see Jameer there since he just got injured last night. He was playing nba live against some kid but of course he was struggling cuz his arm was in a sling lol.

Me and my friend almost got him down to sign an autograph after he did his interview with spike tv and he was going to but i guess the people wouldn't let him there so that sucked.

The worst possible thing that could happen for the magic is if nelson has to miss the rest of the season that would be terrible :(

I feel very bad for the Magic. They drop several notches without Jameer Nelson contributing at a high level. I doubt he would have kept it up the remainder of the season and playoffs, but it's too bad we won't find out.

    Awful. :(

    ya it was funny!!
It was really quiet in the arena and i guess people didn't care too much for him when jeter and tiger woods were there...we didn't even know jameer was going to be there cuz it just said nba appearances.

After he played the kid he was walking over and we yelled his name to get his attention and he looked over and we were like "all star game!!" "phoenix!" "Be there" lol...and he just started smiling haha

and then we were telling him not to get the surgery so he wouldn't miss time cuz the magic need him. and once he got done with the interview we called him down for an autograph but he goes "i can't write" cuz his arm was in the sling obviously so we were like "left handed" lol and then he was like "i can't really write with the left hand" and were like "so" so then he was about to but the people who ran it didn't allow him to so it sucked

I hope so, but it probably isn't going to happen this season. I know his injury takes a year or more to fully recover from and it was probably wishful thinking on our part that he could contribute any earlier. I really hope he continues his rehab and works hard in the summer. I think he still has something left and he definitely has something to prove. I know this thread isn't about Stevie but I miss him :-(
