There's like three songs by Led Zeppelin that I enjoy. Not to take anything away from them, of course, just never understood the following they have.

    I love The Who.

    The Who wins.

I guess I'll go with Zep, but it's really too close for me to actually vote on it.

Speaking of rock music, did you guys catch the Hall of Fame induction? Man, Prince is a freaking badass. The same day that I watched it, some idiot on a show about Britney Spears says she's the greatest performer on stage ever, and I was like "whatever," but then after seeing Prince perform live, I was pissed that somebody could assert any pop singer is better than a real musician. He comes on again for an allstar jam of "while my guitar gently weeps" and the solos he played were awesome.

    - there are no images b/c Geocities is smart in that they don't let other domains display images hosted there (there are workarounds but that's not important)

    - that's not leeching as far as I can see

    - Most importantly:anyone who claims that Zep rocks harder than The Who can't be hearing what I hear when "Water" or "Young Man Blues" is playing.

    The Who, no contest.

Just hitting some pop ones : Substitute, Pictures of Lily, MY Generation, Magic Bus, Can't Explain. Then there's the material from Tommy and Quadrophenia. Quadrophenia is under -appreciated. Each piece is challenging.

Some better Zep material - Whole Lotta' Love, Heartbreaker, Rock and Roll, The Immigrant Song ;). Some of the other seminal stuff isn't really songs - Kashmir - what is that? Sludge-land Fruity loops? A little goes a long way, unless you've been bong-loading.

Well that's just a bunch of horse puckey. What is this world coming to anyway? First we let a vast amount of uneducated people make millions of dollars off of our purchases sports apparel and tickets and equipment and now we can't even link images. Horse puckey I say! It's a sign of the times! Anyway, this guy looks like Malcolm Young of AC/DC. Good stuff. Son of Malcolm Young of AC/DC?

The Who is my favorite band of all time, but I think it's ridiculous for either side to say that their favorite is "much, much better," "no contest," and all that garbage. For me, the best way to describe it is that Led Zeppelin's music takes you to a place that's out of this world, and The Who brings you back down to earth (pardon the cliches). And both places are great places to be.
