It will be interesting to see how this looks when it comes out next year. I'm having a hard time picturing Colin Farrell pulling off a better Quaid than Schwarzenegger. Some of the other cast looks questionable as well. <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/npCYO0lKwI8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I am not sure why they are remaking this movie if not to have a lesbian sex scene between Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel.
My favorite scene from that movie... Is verhoeven directing this one? Next they can do Starship Troopers.
The only question anyone should have is "who is going to be the 'you make me wish I had three hands' girl?".
Damn you beat me to the punch. But really re-make....gay. That movie still holds up today. I think that this movie should never.....two weeks.....two weeks...two weeks.
Directed by Len Wiseman. Kiss this turd good bye. Verhoeven/Arnold version was a classic and will not be top. Verhoeven is a freaking genius. They should let him do his Jesus movie. "Get Your Ass to Mars!"
F-ck Colin Farrell! F-ck remakes! This sh-t is being filmed in Canada. All movies filmed there look like the Resident Evil films.
That would be hilarious. I can just picture him now, "Hey, man, I got five kids to feed! Total Recall had one of my favorite movie song intros of all time. Every time I hear it makes me want to watch the movie. <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/qyCu7Erm0T4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Should I feel old now that remakes are being made of movies I saw the first time around? The Karate Kid, Total Recall, Arthur, Conan the Barbarian, Red Dawn, Teen Wolf (on TV). Any others? I watched Short Circuit on AMC the other night and now I find out that they're remaking that one too.
Clash of The Titans Robocop The Crow Logan's Run Footloose Planet of The Apes Superman(3rd reboot) The Thing(probably a prequel) True Grit Ghostbusters? The Three Musketeers Judge Dredd(totally welcome this remake but doesn't look good so far) Mad Max(remake or continuation?)
The time frame seems to be getting smaller from original to remake. So maybe 6-7 years? Now that Deathly Hallows Part II is coming out, we can start remaking the Harry Potter films in a few years!
