Circuit City was running an online special for a Western Digital 160 GB external for $84.99 yesterday. I would have preferred a 250 GB but the store near my work was out of stock. Easy to hook up and XP noticed the hardware right away. I moved around 40 gigs to the external in about 30 minutes. Good buy, although re-seeding all of my torrents was a b****.
somthing strange going on, anything i got from oink is neither downloading or uploading...... whereas got a tv show from mininova and that is flying

getting connection errors on pretty much everything i am downloading and most that i am seeding, what's up with that... read the FAQ but still have no idea how to fix it... help
The oink tracker is completely overloaded with the extra "Christmas Bonus" traffic, and from the DDoS attack. A bunch of my seeds have been off and on during this whole time. If I'm not mistaken, you're one of the guys that joined after the free downloading kicked in, so you don't really benefit from it. So if I was you, I'd just wait until after New Years, to resume downloading, when the traffic should die down. Though continuing to upload is probably a good idea, since that only helps you.
I got you Crisco. The ratio IS tough to keep up. As others have recommended, go for the audio books first, whether you want them or not. Almost anything from 2006 will be seeded for awhile. I'm confident you'll get the hang of it.
frys.com was selling a 400GB seagate external for 129.99 i believe.... this was 4 or 5 days ago, though. wish i would've jumped on it, b/c my 200GB external has taken a serious hit in the past week
Pile on with the other hundred that go in my spam folder everyday. I'm not too interested in video (well maybe some pr0n on occasion) but I do like to swap a lot of music and would appreciate not being exposed to the RIAA.
