lol, stop editing your posts! But to address your original point, which AGAIN, throws a Rocket under the bus....Cuttino played in 26 playoff games, Gay 7.
and gay will play in more. i'm not going to get into some stupid ass argument about how cuttino is as good as rudy gay. good afternoon
i'm mystified how people think the battier trade was successful. i mean really, first round exits are so awesome
bro i know i know more about basketball, basketball players, basketball history, whatever basketball. i piss more bball knowledge than you have so don't go there son
Gay has a high ceiling in terms of talent, he's got all the physical attributes to be better than he has shown. Question about this guy has always been about his head. Can he be better? Sure, I think the system in Memphis didn't help either, but I doubt it has any significant impact. He's already 26, he's not somehow going to become better than he's ever been, not at his age and his position. I still think this was a silly trade for Toronto. Having Derozan and Gay on the same team is pointless, plus having another motivational headcase like Bargnani is icing on the cake. Toronto management sucks, quite simple. How BC still has a job is beyond me, that man knows nothing about basketball.
i'm talking about houston rockets they weren't better. i don't care about battier in miami. that's kind of the freakin point btw, battier with lebron and wade good, tracy fragile mcgrady and unfortunately fragile yao, not so much
the point of the game is to win. memphis was a well balanced team. the only thing gay could have really done to improve the team without stunting flow is rebound
It's insane people still use the eye test to inform their opinions on players. Yes, there are some good things you learn about players' intangibles through watching, but efficiency and advanced statistics paint a far better picture (a knowledgeable basketball fan employs both). Gay has some wow-factor plays. But he's also inefficient and can be actively detrimental to the team he's playing for.
Its like a microcosm for politics. I will never understand the war against information and making better decisions. No offense to Pgabriel, I am sure he is a nice guy, but how he can sit here and defend what a train wreck Memphis is offensively and how terribly inneficient Gay is, just bewilders me. Seriously, how many more "4-19, 15 points" games is going to take before the illusion created by the eyes is dispelled.
