Let's hope Toronto makes some noise and gets that 8th spot, would be a cool to see the Raptors vs. Heat in the Playoffs instead of boring Boston.

Gay just hit a buzzer beating 3rd quarter ending shot. Gay is pretty Gay right now!

Gay is playing well. but Derozan and Amir are playing a lot better than usual. Clippers aren't a top team without CP3. They lost to the Suns and barely got by the Wolves.

Hey SamFisher, guess who just led his team in scoring in a 25 point blowout victory? A very bad night for a Rudy Gay hater like you.

I switched to a different game when the score was 52-32, but Gay did not lead the Raptors in scoring at that point, and he really didn't do a lot to help the Raptors take a lead. He wasn't bad, persay, but he most certainly was not the main reason the Raptors had such an impressive victory. Clippers played like total **** in general.

I misspoke, he led ALL players in scoring. He played very efficiently in his first game with a new team. I was watching this game and the Heat game and he brought energy, got the crowd into it, and played well on both ends. He was one of the key factors in the Raptors blowing out the Clippers. Even LA's announcers were singing his praises.

So my point stands, they won't be making any extra noise in free agency. They'll just be more flexible regarding their own guys who are off contract.

Ignoring the fact that 20 points on 17 shots is NOT very efficient, what exactly did Gay do to give the Raptors the lead, because I sure as heck didn't see it. Perhaps his 4-9 for 10 points he had at the half was a factor?

Incredibly fun to watch. This might be my new favorite team to watch after the Rockets.

Makes me miss Kyle Lowry. If Jonas V or Terrence Ross develop into something special, Toronto could makes some serious noise one day.

Not sure what you are talking about. 8/16 and 3/6 3pt that's 50% shooting.

Oh, I got DeRozan's mixed up with Gay's. Still, 20 points on 16 shots isn't bad, especially by Gay's previous standards, but it's not very efficiently like Kwame said. Gay didn't play bad, but he's not even remotely the main reason for this win ( for example, the Clippers tied the game 27-27 only for the Raptors to finish the half leading 46-30. Gay scored 0 points in that stretch)

I already tried to explain it to him, but what can you do....haters are gonna hate. He can't even bring himself to admit that Rudy Gay played a good or even efficient game, smh. He claims he watched the game, but then he says he got DeRozan mixed up with Gay.

I said I watched up to the 52-32 mark, at which point I switched to another game when it was clear it was over. So I didn't know the final stats, checked it, and accidentally looked at DeRozan because they had similar box scores. I am deeply sorry that I said Rudy Gay scored 20 points on 17 shots instead of 16 and I hope you can accept it.

I know that your ancient style of analysis will never accept it, Kwame, but just because a guy had 20 points and dunks doesn't make him a superstar. Am I saying Gay played poorly tonight? No. I am saying that he was hardly a key factor in this victory. The Clippers guards shooting like **** ( and don't give me the "well, that must mean Rudy Gay played stellar defense when they ALL shot that badly"), the lack of Paul, and the Raptors hitting long range shots are more important than Gay's 20 points on 16 shots. Toronto will probably be better off with Gay - but as Dwyer observed, Colangelo has created a luxury tax spending team that isn't even a 100% playoff lock. That's pretty much an epic fail for team building.
