Toronto, San Antonio talking Kawhi-DeRozan Swap (UPDATE: Done deal)

That series absolutely shocked me and was definitely a choke job for the ages.

 

This is the best we have to go off of. Unfortunately everything nowadays with ESPN is just a coin flip of whether they're sensationalizing.

 

Chris Carter said he had a conference call this morning with Kawhi's people and that they aren't happy about the trade.

 

That was posted on previous page, and I already responded. It's a 2:30am tweet. Is that really the only thing we have of Kawhi (or his group) responding to the trade? Sounds like the Source made a comment, not that the source got a fresh comment about the trade from KL/Group at 2:30am.

What are the Raptors beat reporters saying? Do they feel like Toronto GM has a drama out of the gate?

 

If Kawhi pouts he could STILL wind up in LA THIS year. Sorry Pop.

Reported that Kawhi's people told him:
-Not worried about teaming up to beat Golden State, doesn't care what teammates he has, etc. Only wants to go LA.
-Reiterated that he wants to go to LA next year no matter what.

 

Watch the youtube clips of Chris Carter today. He spoke with Kawhi's camp today twice. Called him at 8 something and then again when the show first went off the air for a conference call.

@J.R. will you watch all of the first things first videos from this morning of Chris Carter telling us he spoke directly with Kawhi's people twice this morning and then proceeding to suggest that Kawhi is unhappy with the trade, might not report, etc. etc.? Heypartner needs it from someone he likes. TIA

I think it's invalid just because it's from ESPN.

 

I dislike this guy more every year. Once upon a time I thought he was one of the most respectable, all-business stars in the NBA. Shocking.

 

Is that it? The trade isn't even complete, yet, and Chris Carter definitely did not share a new statement by Kawhi/Group.

I had already listened to that. Didn't come away at all with anything near hearing Carter reporting new comments about the trade from KL's camp.

If Haynes' tweet and this FTF segment (before the trade is even finalized) is what you meant as multiple source saying Kawhi/Group made a comment about the trade, then I'm glad I asked.

There's WOJ's article reporting the story where he reiterates that Kawhi has made clear he intends to sign with the Lakers (though he doesn't specify what time he was given that info)
