kawhi hasn't been hidden for years. if hes even close to being healthy, hes going to cause plenty of problems for the east

LOL how do the Spurs DROP 8 games by adding prime DeRozan and a young big in Poetl and losing a player who was mediocre in 9 games all season and Danny Green who was **** last season too?

I'm fine if they think Raptors losing DeRozan and Poeltl and adding Kawhi/Green adds that many Wins for them based on Kawhi's upside(though highly doubtful considering his mental and physical condition right now). But Spurs don't drop that much by adding an all star wing and a young big. That's ridiculous.

well the west is a different animal compared to the east, especially with the conference improving. its not that crazy of a projection.

Any reclusive introvert is guaranteed to get a massive shoe deal just by being in LA! Just look at everyone wearing those Air Gasols!

Spurs came out like absolute bandits. Sure, Derozan isn't a Jaylen Brown or the potential of Fultz. But:

    1. It got Leonard away from a Western Conference team, for at least a year
    2. It got a decent return in DeMar Derozan, who's still in his prime
    3. It rid you of Danny Green's contract; Green earns 10 million this season, and becomes a UFA next season. Green might have walked for nothing.
    4. It got you a young 5 in Poeltl, who can learn from Aldridge and Gasol

While you don't retain the all-world defense that Kawhi played, Derozan is more than capable of holding his own, on the offensive end. He's probably a better scorer than Leonard, and within the system, Derozan might even up his defense game.

Popovich + Derozan + Aldridge is solid. Really, really solid.

In the West, your wings better be able to shoot the 3, and DeMar can't. I have a feeling that's a big reason why SA is getting dinged in the projections.

Just saw this. Great news! Leonard goes to the east and the Frozen North (which is what he deserves, the weak little wanker), and to a good team (which is not what he deserves, the weak little wanker), Pop gets a decent return and, best of all, the Lakers get screwed!

Not really man. Its pretty much the same with stupid projections of the Lakers having some unrealistic odds as the only team to jump in and contend but they’ll be a lower seed IMO. If anyone drops out it’s utah, or minny or even Portland with LA or Denver possibly jumping in

Scott Foster, Tony Brothers, Ken Mauer, Ed Malloy were all out for Revenge on James Harden and Chris Paul during the WCF. This year I wish these guys will be caught by the FBI, by gambling on games. Tim Donaughy has said about Allen Iverson that Iverson went over to Official and cussed at him, The Referees planned and plotted that Iverson will not get calls until he learns his lesson. Referee commission approves of this and they still do this today. I really don't think the Rockets can win in the WCF, or Finals with those Officials being Grim Reapers.

when you play the majority of your games in a tougher western conference, its a bigger difference than rack up wins against a bunch of terrible eastern conference teams. the talent disparity is glaring

It's the best deal that Pops could get, because of Kawhi's injury and antics.

So how’s LA with the worst 3pt shooting team from last year with Rondo, Ball and Lance? 2nd best odds to win the championship. Pfft

I know Harden is happy about this, the Spurs got weaker and he gets to see his best friend more often. This is a win for the Rockets too, Kawhi is the best Harden defender in the league, won't have to worry about him in the playoffs for at least a year. I think there's a good chance he signs with the Clippers next offseason

That Game 6 at Warriors was an unbelievable screwjob. Rockets were red hot in the 1st Qtr played great in the first. 2nd Half Harden getting hacked in the 2nd Half No Calls.

That's Vegas odds. Very different from statistical projections. Vegas odds are mainly driven by over-reactionary, emotional fans who are willing to throw down money on their hot takes. And when it comes to the Lakers, everyone and their dog is trying to get on that hype train.
