alright - my interest is peaked. I'll have to try Torchy's next time I get to Austin. Around DFW, my favorite tacos come from...

    Their Shrimp Tacos are incredible.

Just went there, good food, reasonable price, stingy with the avocados though.

    This.

There's a lot of overrated/overpriced stuff in Austin, which is probably appreciated more because people like the atmosphere or are enjoying the experience of being away from home and going to college. $3 for a taco? Couldn't get away with that in San Antonio.

Overall Houston has the best food and variety of food of... anywhere.

Magnolia is even worse. The food is pretty gross there.

Tried El Gran Malo for the first time last night... definitely a different kind of taste to the tacos and margaritas. http://elgranmalo.com/

Houston food is the best but we don't have anything along the lines of Taco Deli or Torchy's. El Jarro might be better, but its a different animal. Houston has always been lacking in that department IMO. Also, pizza. But Houston even has better food trucks than Austin and they had a head start.

I think we should all go DD's house to watch a game. I'll bring the brisket.
