Hmmm, what team was better? The 1994 Knicks team? Or a Jordan lead 1994 Bulls team? I say the 1994 lead Bull team. And we took the 94 Knicks to 7 games. But yet you automatically say, we beat the Bulls in 7? Ok, thanks for playing. Sorry, but we'd lose in 6. The 95 Rox team might have beaten the Bulls. But only because of the help we'd get from Drexler. Just because we beat the Knicks in 7 doesn't mean that we'd beat the Bulls in 7 too.
Yea but i guess ya'll don't remember that Portland offered us Drexler and the #2 pick for either Sampson or the #1 pick. So we could have had Dream Drexler and Jordan. That my friends is the biggest what-if.
what if...that blocking foul on sam mack waz not called in 99? Answer: we would have one game one in the best of 5 on the lakers floor and therefore win the series.
Someone probably already wrote this, but... What if the Rockets had drafted Clyde Drexler in '83 instead of Rodney McCray? Remember the Blazers went to the Finals twice and lost... And, at that time, Drexler was their stud. If we had Drexler, we probably would have ruled the late '80's and early 90's. I mean, think about how we plowed thru the Lakers in that series in '86. With Clyde it would have been a complete rout, and we may have actually had some measure of success against Boston that year. Anyway. That's always been my biggest "what-if". As far as Jordan, if he had been drafted by the Rockets, he would not be who he is today. Nobody would have jumped on the bandwagon of a player for the Houston Rockets. For any player to get "best player" label, you have to be from either L.A., Boston, Chicago, or New York. There's just no other markets that the media pays attention to.
