I have to vote for Sacramento. They should have one at least one championship.
Cleveland shouldn't be up there. Personally, I knew they wouldn't win. Did I knew it was Orlando that would eliminate them? Hell no. Mavericks 06/07 should have gone higher. Talk about upset.... Their season was... amazing. Phoenix also should have been higher. But, I agree why some would not consider them. No defense... no championship.
That Kings team would crush every team on that list, including the Lakers last year. They have to be the top of that list.
Dallas should not be up there. They were soft and mentally fragile. Regular season team. Destined for failure.
The '09 Cavs (no athleticism outside of Lebron; regular season record inflated due to questionable officiating) and '04 Timberwolves (slow, aging backcourt would have been exposed by the Pistons had they not succumbed to injuries) don't belong, in my opinion.
This is a list of the best regular season teams not to win the title. Some of these teams just got beat down by a better club. When you get your ass kicked in a 7 game series, that means you are not a great team.
I totally agree with Kelly. This Cleveland team did not just beat people, they blew people out, and not just in regular season, also in playoffs. And they did not have any major injuries. If you watched how they played Atlanta in the playoffs, you'd see they were toying with the Hawks like adults playing with kids. Yet, people are still saying that LeBron didn't have a good enough team around him to win a title.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! Finally. That's what peeved me so much after the Magic beat the Cavs. All the folks-media and otherwise saying Lebron didn't have a good enough team around him to win a title weren't saying that crap when the Cavs were destroying teams in the regular season and the playoffs. They just came upon a team that had their number much like the Mavs came upon a Warriors team that knew how to play and beat them down to a science. Doesn't mean their team was crap but like KDwyer wrote, why matchups will always rule. Now Cavs can go back to the drawing board and sign players to help them get an edge matchup wise with the Magic but don't take that to mean that they didn't have a good enough team to win a title.
kings got ****eddddddddddddddd but the NBA back when they took the lakers in the WCF lol. the most rigged series of all time, it baffles me that people didnt go uproar about that scam.
