That was the highest grossing independent film of all time. Over 220 million and it was never #1 at the box office, only cost 5 million to make. Seems interesting but I will wait for rental. Same for "City by the Sea."
best movie of the year was Bowling For Columbine. and it has the awards to prove it.. www.bowlingforcolumbine.com

I'm surprised you found it amazing. I'm a huge Nicholson fan and I was pretty disappointed. It was just all over the place and had an underwhelming ending. There just didn't seem like a long enough journey from beginning to end to justify the ending IMHO. It was supposed to be dramatic but it left me just asking, that's it? Damn you Jack!
Why are you surprised? Do we ever agree? I dunno...I really liked the narration part. Very clever and original. Did you like Election?
Yeah I liked Election, it didn't try to be a comedic drama like About Schmidt. We agree a lot sometimes, Thursdays between 10am and 1pm particularly.
You are dead on with this one. I couldn't believe what a bomb that turned out to be. Once a good movie like Men In Black was the first time out tries tinkering with the characters the second time around you know it's going nowhere fast. It was like watching Lethal Weapon 4 with Chris Rock. Totally not funny. Watch Scorpion King though....good flick.
LMAO!!! That's like the funniest post in a while. Talks about MIB II and then props a total stinker like the Scorpion King.
