That's ok. When I was younger I thought the line in "Down Under" was "he just smiled and game a piece of my sandwich."

I'm convinced that Kilmer, after realizing what a lousy script he'd just agreed to, purposefully steered his characterization and scenes to be as charged with homoeroticism as possible, solely for laughs / to keep himself entertained.

There's just no other explanation for the air-bite at 1:14 there.

Up until about a year ago, I thought is was Eric ClaMpton, not Eric Clapton.

Movies I'll watch when they pop on.

    Top Gun
    Ferris Bueller's Day off
    Better off Dead (rare)
    16 candles
    Shawshank Redemption
Bloodsport (so I can see Macalu in his prime)

Those are just off the top of my head.

    Top Gun movie: Top notch
    Top Gun video game: letdown
Her role in Monkey's Mask made that a little less surprising. (A Cinemax 1 time viewing... )
The lead actor of Top Secret and Real Genius at the time shouldnt have the credentials to judge scripts. But that could have been his breaking point

top gun is such a good summer blockbuster movie. it has it all. action for the guys, a chick-flick romance, comedy, tragedy, an all-time soundtrack, and it's one of the most quotable movies ever. how can you not like that.

Slider: Goose who's butt did you kiss to get in here anyway?
Goose: The list is long, but distinguished.
Slider: Yeah, well so is my Johnson.

well that's because it's pretty much the cheesiest movie this side of Rocky IV. but that's a huge reason why it (and rocky IV) are great. they went for the cheese and nailed it.

i thought that forever as well. it seemed to make sense.

Gotta agree with this. There is nothing guilty about liking one of the most awesome action movies of all time.

Kelly McGillis was so terrible in the movie. Seriously I never point out bad acting cause I hardly every care but she was over the top horrible.

Top Gun is only cool because of the F14 pr0n (RIP :( ) and the soundtrack.

I just watched it a couple of weeks and remember these wtf homo moments

Iceman: You can be my wingman any time.
Maverick: Bull****! You can be mine.

    -----------------------------------------

[watching a video of planes being shot down]
Wolfman: This gives me a hard on.
    Hollywood: Don't tease me.

She came out of the closet -- probably should have stayed in it.
