The entire time I'm watching an episode, I find myself muttering over and over, "what a f***ing great show". I've never done that with any show, including The Simpsons.

    Wow! Ruppert Murdoch posts here!

okay, seriously, aside from Law and Order, the Sopranos, and the Simpsons, there aren't any current shows I like all that much...Mostly watch History/DiscoveryCiv channel, British mysteries, and sports...Have heard Six Feet Under is good though...West Wing seems very good, but if you miss one or two, you're out of the loop, besides I liked Sportsnight better...Like re-runs of Northern Exposure, Seinfeld, etc...

    1. ER (at the end of every show I always say "best show on tv", it never has an off week)
    2. Everybody Loves Raymond
    3. Scrubs (may have had the greatest first episode in the history of television)
    4. Friends (much better than last season)
    5. Simpsons/King of Queens

Man I wish the Simpson's were as good as they used to be. Repeats still kick ass. Don't have HBO so I can't rate Sopranos but it sounds like I would love it. Also, I didn't include Sportscenter since I figured we're going for primetime stuff here. Otherwise Sportscenter is up there (gotta watch at least 3 episodes a day). Man this is like post #7 today. Must be a record or something.

Who's Line Is It Anyway? and The Daily Show are the only two shows I watch with any regularity.

I've seen a couple of episodes of 24 ......it seems pretty good.

I'd like to see Six Feet Under . It has that guy from Sportsnight in it, doesn't it? Man, that was a good show.

Three new shows that I've caught a couple of episodes of:

    1) That 80's Show - this show sucks, but that Cindi Lauper wannabe Katie is hot.

    2) Yes Dear - its a cbs show...i know, i know. last night, the little kid got beat up for wearing a mullet :D

    3) Undeclared - that dorm is cool.

Watching one hour of 24 is like watching most 2 hour movies. It is so intense I'm drained every time I watch it.

And, to answer the question -- Simpsons, West Wing, Law & Order, and The Daily Show in addtion to 24.

1 - Buffy the Vampire Slayer
    2 - Dennis Miller Live
    3 - Six Feet Under
    4 - The Sopranos
    5 - Arli$$

Hon. mention - Sex and the City, Inside the NBA (TNT not TBS), RealSports

HBO is without a doubt the best network on television.

arliss? ARLISS?! i thought this was top five? the flu's more entertaining -- robert wuhl should be gagged, bound and thrown into a french prison. jmo, of course.

my top five....... (in no order)
project greenlight (absolutely riveting; i already miss it)
that 70's show (one of tv's best ensembles)
24 (starting to wear thin, they need some resolutions, but i still tune in religiously)
insomniac (no tv moment will ever top the two male prostitutes in houston explaining how they make their money -- captivating and unrelenting hilarity all wrapped into one magical moment... houston proud, indeed)
friends the saga of mathew perry (he's thin, he's fat, he's thin, he's fat) is almost as entertaining as the show itself. amazing this show still makes me laugh in year 8.

is that 5? honorable mention to: everybody loves raymond, undeclared, the bermie mac show and er. and, it's official, i need a life. no one should ever admit to watching 5.5 hours of tv a week. i suck.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" should've been mentioned by now. That show is freaking hilarious.

Enterprise and Family Guy. I can't believe no one has said Family Guy yet, that show is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Makes me laugh every time.
