Here’s my home in Calgary. We get more snow in the winter though, and it gets cold. ;)

sorry for messin up your name Grizzled.

Rockets2K...you don't know much about Canada do you?

In Vancouver, we don't get much snow at all. Just some rain :).
It's a beautiful city just like the other canadian cities i've visited (edmonton, calgary, toronto). I'm hopin to go to Montreal sometime soon. Here's a pic of beautiful Vancouver (though i know that any city can look beautiful in a picture, Vancouver is seriously one of the best, with the mountains in the background, the ocean right there, and a great skyline).

Current favorites of the cities I've visited. It changes from year to year.

    Foreign:

    Barcelona
    Prague
    Lisbon
    Oaxaca
    Pamplona

    USA:

    San Fran
    Boston
    D.C.-- Underrated
    New York
    Seattle

    To live:

Houston As I get older, I'm liking more the slow pace of Houson compared to many of the more exciting cities above.

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico even slower and an easy drive form Texas.

    Austin

I can't believe I left Istanbul off of my list...what a mix of cultures. And, yes, Prague, Vienna, Honolulu, Rio, Cairo, Marseilles/Arles, just about any Spanish city, Edinburgh, Jerusalem, Florence, Vienna, Athens, etc. are all cities I'd LOVE to be in too...just having to choose is half the fun. Oxford, St. Petersburg, Krakow, Budapest, Beijing, Kyoto, Tunis, Boston, Buenos Aires...it goes on and on...

of course not, I admitted that in my first post here. I have never been outside the states.

but since I dont like the northern US because of the weather, by default Canada being even further north of the northern US...I assume I wouldnt want to go. I'm not a huge fan of cold climates. nothing personal, I wouldn't want to go to Alaska either since it's even further up north..;)

Actually, if you look on a map, Southern Canada..ie Southern Ontario, is SOUTH of something like 30-40% of the United States...roughly on a lattitude with northern California.

Excuse me for my ignorance if ya will...Southern Ontario? is that the part that is in the middle of the Great Lakes? ie..Toronto?
I'm honestly not sure and the map I just looked at doesn't delinate the provinces up there...

But...as I explained before, I wouldnt want to live in *any* city in the northern part of the country...That dosn't mean I wouldn't visit...I just wouldn't want to "live" there...which is the criteria that I was using to rank the cities. No offense intended to any Canadians that thought I was raggin on em...;)

According to the thread starter (MacBeth) we should use whatever criteria we want...

Southern Ontario may be farther south, but Vancouver has a warmer climate. They rarely get snow, except on the mountains, of course. :)

“Where else in the world, let alone in North America, can you spend spring mornings skiing powder snow, and then, spend the afternoons sunning your bare buns, but at Wreck Beach, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada?!!”
