That's pretty much the same as my list except i would definitely replace Dwight with Duncan and i would put Wade, Kobe, and Paul in a dead heat. 1. Lebron (large gap) 2. Wade 2. Kobe 2. Paul 5. Duncan I agree with the people saying Mcgrady is a top player (maybe not top 5) if healthy but he hasn't been healthy for so long that I think we all need to be realistic. Even in the spurts when he was considered "healthy" here in Houston he has been way off from his peak. I think i've posted this before but...In 2003 Mcgrady had a PER of 32.1 (better than anyone on this list not named Lebron, actually better than some really good players have ever had), last year his PER was 21.6. He has declined...alot...and i don't think he has any less heart/desire/drive than he had 5 years ago (probably more) his body is just breaking down and theres nothing anyone can do about it.
1. Lebron James (hands down he is just on a different level) 2. D-Wade 3. Kobe Bryant 4. Chris Paul 5. Dwight Howard/Tim Duncan (which ever one works for you)
I just realized i got those PER numbers wrong. (i posted his PPG ) in 2003 Tracy's PER was 30.3 in 2008 Tracy's PER was 18.4 He was so much more efficient earlier in his career that even with his recent slide he is ranked 19th in all-time PER right under Olajuwon, Kobe, and Bird but just above big O, Jerry West, and Elgin Baylor.
dont be strange, Kidd's triple-doubles persuaded me, CP3 is also great, his has 104 games at least have one steal. today he has the oppountity to break this record.
btw: Tracy's PER in the 2008 Playoffs was 24.4. And that was without Yao and missing his PG for 2 games, with no backup PG to speak of. to put this in perspective...Ginobody had a 24 regular season PER last year, but dropped to 17.1 in the playoffs.
