@Killatron 2000 my favorite local band. Just guitar and dums math rock. The kind of stuff me and chris la forges daughters bf try to learn from and jam. Their drummer is a a professor at acc or summin i think. Any htown locals that i need to listen to?
BOOM! Great song. Never listened much mathrock. Never new who to check out. I'll take anymore suggestions please. As for Houston, the Hates are the go to. Christian Kidd (Arnheiter) has been kept it going since '78 (a year before I was born). Also check out Dickey Hands, if you can find any songs. They seem like something up your alley. I played in another band with their drummer. I wished I was in that band the whole time. Unfortunately, they are not active right now.
1)Chris Cornell is the best vocalist of all time for me and it's not even close. 2)Eddie Vedder 3)Bruce Springsteen 4)Liam Gallagher 5)Scott Weiland I'm talking in their prime of course. As you can imagine, this song is one of my favorite songs ever: Bonus: a) Bono b) Brian Fallon c) Sting d) Danzig
I know most of us don't actually click on these videos and listen to them- but I'm telling you right now, anyone who does would no doubt either add Zander in their top 5 or have to create an Honorable Mention category for this guy:
dude this song is sick as hell. the 1st one on youtube called Houston. It's probably amazing live. also jammed no talk in the 80s Spoiler: houston! An all clutchfans jam sesh one day would be pretty freakin sick honestly. I'd make sure my chops are ready haha. this dickey hands song and video is sick!!!!!!! you were right about them being up my alley. that song you (fez) is also sick Spoiler: dickey hands especially love the part at 1:30 and 2:00. really glad I was showed this. Most of the punk rock bands that I know of are the really famous ones like black flag, minutemen, the germs (ESPECIALLY THE GERMS), dead kennedys, circle jerks and stuff like that. I love all of it but need to find more than just the heavy hitters. Legit that you dug that song by feuding fathers. math to me is just progressive punk rock. Punky Math Rock that might be up your alley. Spoiler: GIRAFFES? GIRAFFES! It's a lot bigger in Japan. one of the biggest japanese math rock bands has half a million views! LITE Spoiler: LITE Do you play guitar too? EDIT: if you end up listening to japanese math rock please jam this one instead of the 1st one I put. both great songs but this one is a better choice haha Spoiler: CHOOSE THIS ONE Shoulda choose wisely lol
just wiki'd them. I will check it out right now. foreign music can be super legit haha. like magma. I think magma's from france? either way legendary prog rock
Hanoi Rocks is great. Hybrid of NY Dolls/Johnny Thunders, Rolling Stones and 80s rock. I think the post you quoted was trying to make a joke though.
yah i figured out he was joking when i youtubed it and the first song was a boulevard of broken dreams cover lol not judging or saying anything negative. I've never heard their original stuff. I just quickly realized that it wasn't my style and he was joking lmao
Thank you. I I am jamming this stuff right now. Drinking beer and smoking weird. I agree with you. Mathrock is definitely a progression of punk.
yeah you're absolutely right. I just assumed so because I thought he was kidding wit me haha. I just jammed it and it's a good song. I youtubed them, saw that title, thought he was was playing, so never clicked lmao
