    Rumble Fish-under appreciated-Mickey Rourke could have been a great dramatic actor

    The Natural-my favorite baseball movie- Redford excels
    Hoosiers-my favorite movie- Hackman is great
    To Kill a Mockingbird-Gregory Peck of high moral ground
    Taxi Driver-Robert D will get in your head and never leave

    I love Kurosawa's work. Seven Samurai is definitely his most entertaining movies. Outside of his more mainstream work, I really like his darker movies. If you can find it, I highly recommend "High and Low". IMO, it's one of his most intriguing movies.

    The Mighty Quinn (This Denzel Washington movie deserves to be way more popular than it is. Great story, great music, great cinematography).

    Salvador (Best Oliver Stone movie in my book. Tour de Force performance by James Woods. Honorable mention Jim Belushi.)

    for those of you who listed american psycho in your favorites, have you read the book?

    it has been my favorite movie for years, and i probably saw it 30 times before i read the book. and i have to say, the book is infinitely better. its 100x more violent and just has a better insight into patrick bateman's mind
