this is going to be real tough man only 5 in no order: monty python and the holy grail --i have seen comedies over and over, but i remember the first time i saw this movie it was like someone out there knew exactly how random and eccentric my mind was and capsulated it in a film. matrix--for the sci-fi compu geek in me it was quite intriguing in its story and revolutionary in its special effects dr. strangelove ---i actually only saw this pretty recently about 5 years ago but it was great on so many levels. shawshank - i dont think i need to explain this one gladiator - a lot of "epic" type of movies can go in here but gladiator did it the best imo. notable mentions: LOTR--its hard to say this film or any other trilogy type film where a singular story line goes through. I mean how can I pick one over the other? I can treat the whole triology as one film but its not the case, probably one of the greatest acheivements in film imo, i dont know if I'll ever see anything like it in its scale, hype and magnitude in the near future. Conan the barbarian - "Crush your enemies, see them flee before you and her the lamentation of their women" ---well pretty much a lot of those great 80s arnold movies--predator,commando,running man, terminator and though it was released in 1990 total recall. Jurassic Park --admittedly i did not read the book until long after I saw the movie but I was amazed at this when I was a little kid at how real it was. Airplane!,dumb and dumber, half-baked and super troopers top some of my favorite comedies. ugh stupid limiting it to 5, but if I had to take 5 movies to the grave with me to watch repeatedly I would take those 5, in blu-ray or hd-dvd of course
LOST IN TRANSLATION - all time Life Shawshank Redemption The Big Lebowski Rushmore and all pauly shore movies tied here My list beats all of yours, I win, gameover btw its way to hard to limit it to five, it needs to be like favorite 200 movies or somthin

Arsenic and Old Lace North by Northwest Get Shorty Jackie Brown Raiders of the Lost Ark Depending on how I was feeling on any given day, there are a bunch of others that I'd probably include on the list. But, generally speaking, these five would be the Top Five the most often. The Big Lebowski is awfully good, though, too.
WOW it looks like Pulp Fiction is the most agreed upon top ranked movie according to us.. Mine would be Pulp Fiction Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade The Goonies Silence of The Lambs Requiem for a Dream
