Man, you need to check out their latest! Murray Street. It's really good. They kind of sucked a little after Washing Machine but it looks like they still have some skills left.
You mean Loudon Wainwright III who wrote the song "Rufus is a Tit Man"? Rufus is a tit man, suckin' on his momma's gland Suckin' on the nipple It's sweeter than the ripple wine Yes, it's sweeter than the wine.
1. Metallica - They were so much more enjoyable during their thrash days. The Black Album was the beginning of the end for me... 2. Incubus - I liked them so much I started a thread about them about a year ago. Then I listened to them during the summer time and realized how monotonous their music really is... 3. Bad Religion - Much like Incubus, I liked their new music for a while, but then it just got old and tired. Their old music is still good... 4. Pantera - Reinventing the Steel blows... 5. Tool - I never did get into Lateralus like their previous music.
I was gonna scream BLASPHEMY with SSG, but alas you have a point. I dig it, a lot actually, but following Aenima...which followed undertow....which followed Opiate, it is quite a progression in style and it put off a lot of fans. It's amazing how money and fame can suck the anger and energy out of an alternative band, but still TOOL ****ING RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Lateralus as a stand alone album, seperate from the first three is still pretty kick ass. Damn, I feel like a DMB fan. Blasting away at the first instant my favorite band is brought up in anything but a glowing fashion.
1. Chili Peppers - Back in the '80s I thought they were the best. Lost interest after Mother's Milk. 2. Generation X - When I was a kid I really liked them. Now i realize they were pretty bad (Last album, GenX is still kinda cool though) 3. The Cult - I thought first 3 albums were cool. But after that...
I see a couple people put Pearl Jam down, which dissapoints me.. I'd like to know from those people which cd they thought sold out or sucked? This is a band where you have to appreciate the music, because they dont care about the hit songs that last a couple of months.. There music to me, i could listen to 24 hrs a day (i almost do) So can someone please explain to me?
Don't get me started. I saw them in 1985 at the Sam Houston Coliseum (half empty, BTW). That was during the "rock out with your c*ck out" days. The most intense show I've ever seen. You know, there's people that think Blood Sugar Sex Magic was their first record. They have no idea what they missed in the 80's. Freaky Styly and Uplift Mofo are tied for my favs.
Take a pill and listen to Come With Us. That's probably my favorite record that came out last year. Worth reconsideration, it took awhile to grow on me.
