SF is quite possibly the worst city in the US for single straight men who are looking to settle down. Having a graduate degree and a six-figure salary is just a pre-req (everyone here makes good money and went to a good school). With a 2:1 single guy:girl ratio, women here have all the leverage.
I actually agree with Honey Bear on this one; I'm not sure what to make of that. I too once thought of NYC as the "cultural capital of the world"... but that was before I lived there. Otherwise, what in the world is this thread about?? Honey Bear's favorite cities?? Ugh.
Listen, this is a world renowned list. Everything you see is done by design. Cities 2-15 on the list are pretty undebateable, there's no discussion those with the untrained eye can come up with. You can have debates based on socio economic strata and quality of life in different pay tiers, but that's another list for another time. Johannesburg isn't your conventional tourist city. It's not environmentally attractive. There are better places to live in SA like Pretoria and Cape town. But it's alive. It's kicking. And just when you think you're safe, when you've got it all figured out, it will shoot life into you in ways you will never have known. Black, white, Mexican, Asian... It doesn't matter. And it won't happen on a conducted tour guide to the city highlights, it will happen underground. Deep in the heart of the city. Find your calling my friend.
ARE U KIDDING ME no.7 for Melbourne, how are we not better, last year alone we had Johnny Flynn as the franchise player for our team, this list is rigged
Single straight man, You don't like olive oil, don't cook Mediterranean. Go to Siberia where the ratios work out for you. It's a mans world, baby. It's a mans world. We don't care bout no ratios baby, the ratios bend around us. SF women recognize this, they don't want to wind up with a straight guy by default, they want to be swept off their feet. We ain't bout that ghetto life baby, and we don't need no grad school degrees to prove it. Hahahaha
