He's probably assuming that the vast majority of contributing members that hand out rep would have repped Yoyo at least once. 150 seems like a reasonable ball-park figure.
Sounds like a good guestimate, I wonder how many contributing members that are Kyle Lowrys or no reps that are active and not accounted in the stats. Some members have said that the rep system is flawed, but it does generally show which members actually shapes the board to what it is.
Xerobull is much better than Jeremiah. I want to know why Sir Jackie Chiles changed his name -- that was one of the best monikers ever.
The GARM rep should count more than any other area, as that was what the rep was instituted for....to help improve the GARM. It should be weighted...IMO. DD
Another idea...the higher up you go on the rep system, the bigger the gap of the ability to re-rep the same members you've repped before. If 20 is the supposed cycle reps that you must do before you can re-rep, just add 5 or 10 for every status change or green dot added.
Here's the top 30 from Clutch's list, rearranged if we weight Hoops Rep by 2x. Nah, I believe in a meritocracy......and no system will be perfect. I know it has made some people more aware of rep, but is it really working, is it doing what was intended? Also, you can see some trends of buddies repping each other...... Hey, maybe if I published a poem about porta potties....lol... DD
I think Clutch should be #1, all those articles on the main page plus the old articles he writes are pretty strong. Or he should at least be in a tie with Yoyo. DD > moes!
Ok, that's a first... I repped Dada's post (though i hope you don't take the opposite viewpoint next week) and Sam's immediate response to it (throw enough on the wall, something's bound to stick, and someone will call it art) . *kudos*
What if contributing members couldn't see who repped them, or leave a -MadMax at the end of their comments (thereby eliminating comments altogether)? That would eliminate the latent "you pat my back, I'll pat yours" homoerotic theme we have going in the D&D. And this so called hierarchy of the internet would be thrown into chaos.
Oh please. Every red-blooded American male knows that anything that's fun is probably somewhat phallic in nature. Swinging a baseball bat is fun. Shooting a rifle is fun. Fishing with a pole is fun. Chainsawin' is fun. Throwing knives is fun. Swinging a hammer is fun. Take your prissy hissy fit somewhere else and leave us to play with our hard green bars.
I love how every thread about rep eventually devolves into DD whining about the Rep system because he isn't #1. Buddies? How can you keep repping only your "Buddies" if you have to rep 20 people before repping again? I posted that poem because I thought it was funny and appropriate for a poop-centric forum like the Garm. I don't understand whats wrong with that. If it was rep I was after, I certainly failed because I didn't get any points from it. And Mr. Youtube Video is accusing me of starting threads just to get rep? Rich. oh and since we're in 3rd grade still... finalsbound > tinman Antisonic 8=====D tinman 8=====D DaDakota!
the war of green bars! Thought the percentage data was more interesting though...just as an example, can't help but notice that 100% of mc mark's posts are in the D&D .
