    ooh

    I divided backwards...

    165/963 (964 now) * 100 = 17

I believe so. Should be 17.1

    165/963*100

Edit: Looks like you got it while I was typing. Not surprising you would have a high rate.

    Nope, 17.1 reps/100posts.

Amongst posters who've posted at least 500 times since the beginning of this thread, you and Yoyo must be near the top in "rep efficiency". :)

I'm at 27 rep points per 100 posts, but I've only posted 268 times since this thread started.

and all your posts are stellar! ;)

Thanks for the help. It would be interesting to see who has the highest efficiency too.

Isn't it silly how we get wrapped up in the numbers of EVERYTHING??

There is a big flaw in the rep efficiency metric, though, now that I think about it.

Because there were a limited number of posters that could give out rep, and because you have to "spread rep", how much rep you get per post does not increase linearly with your post count.

That is, if I doubled my post count, I shouldn't expect to get twice the rep because how much rep other posters can give me depends on how often they are repping others. It gets pretty complicated.

So posting less often, but being high quality, will be advantageous in getting higher rep/post.

now i dont know for sure how much rep DD has but i can do a quick estimation that he has around 655 or so (he just hit the calvin murphy mark which is at 650)

so lets say its 655 (could be slightly higher could be slightly less)

    219/5877 *100 = 3.7

 because you can't just keep giving people rep and have to spread it, you could be getting more rep for the high quality posts if they have time to give rep to other people?

lol...for the longest time I was trying to figure out how you all were finding your post count from when this thread was originally created, until I finally realized it was right there in the damn chart.

I figured my "rep rate" and it's 12.3 rep points per 100 posts. Just in case durvasa feels the itch to throw a chart together.

It would be nice to know how things have changed during the past 5yrs!

The only thing that I know for sure is that MadMax couldn't keep up with DaDakota on the post count, and that
The YoYo unfortunately didn't have enough staying power to keep the #1 spot on the list.

My Username isn't even an afterthought on this list...:(
