Shane Battier Jim Jackson James Posey Ron Artest Terrence Morris Walt Williams Boki Nachbar Steve Novak Eric Piatowski Mike Harris
Depends on positions. McGrady handles the ball way too much for me to consider him a forward. And Durant has two years of experience. We did say the last decade didn't we? And screw Kirelinko. I wouldn't put him on any list. Ugly mofo. lol
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...ting-guards-of-the-last-decade?urn=nba,192484 I thought it was a pretty good list myself. I'm guessing tmac_1 didn't like Ginobili being ranked 6th. And here is his top 10 SFs: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...;_ylt=A0PDlNeNmsNKcWEBLwe8vLYF?urn=nba,192853 My list was very different, but again I can't argue too much with it. Looks like he pegs Shawn Marion (and perhaps Kirilinko as well) as a PF. I do think Artest belongs, though.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...ting-guards-of-the-last-decade?urn=nba,192484 it's a terrible list imo outside of the top 2, which is easy to predict.
allen iverson alone at #5 makes it a bad list. this guy is a first ballot sure fire hall of famer. vince and ray ray aren't. hell, vince won't make the HOF.
I'm not at all a fan of how Iverson played the game (if I was picking a SG for my team, I think I'd choose Carter or Allen ahead of him), but its hard to dispute what you say there. Iverson has been selected to more All-NBA teams, he's gotten more MVP votes, and he's been the most prolific scorer of the decade outside of Kobe Bryant.
fan or not, iverson is a top 10 player of this decade, regardless of position. he will go down as one of the best players ever to play the game, and is a legend of the game. you can't say the same for ray or vince (although ray has a more than good chance of making the HOF). i disagree with you there. if i were to make up my own team, i would choose iverson over those 2 10 out of 10 times (and i'm sure any GM would). remember, he was an MVP and took a team to the finals, with him as the only all-star. vince was a franchise player "briefly"; ray never was. when i saw AI at #5, the list is done b/c like i said, AI is a top 10 player in this decade.
No matter how much he b****ed about practice or how he might have alienated himself with that me-first attitude, Iverson came to play hard every single night. Can't say that about Vince Carter.
Disagree. I'd wager money that Carter will make the HOF. IMO, he's had a comparable career to Dominique Wilkins (who did make the HOF), and Carter is also the best in-game dunker of all-time. And also, you can't be serious about Ray Allen. He's a 9 time all-star, one of the best shooters in NBA history, and has a chance to retire as the career leader in 3 pointers made. IMO, he's a lock for the HOF.
He's not in my top 10, but I can see why some may see it differently. Tim Duncan Kobe Bryant Shaquille O'neal Kevin Garnett LeBron James Dwyane Wade Dirk Nowitzki Steve Nash Tracy McGrady Chris Paul
I can't see how you rank Iverson behind Paul (who has played only 4 years) and McGrady (who has accomplished far less). We're not talking about which players are/were better at their primes. We're talking about the body of work the player has accomplished during the past 10 years. Iverson is the only MVP from this century who has been omitted from your list.
