Wow, on the same page with CD on one. James seemed to fit all criteria best. Nice call Deuce. I figured (still do) Mike James is better than where more than half of the late 1st round picks end up so I would have used it. But the fact we get rid of Gaines salary--granted not much for NBA standards (1.5 mil year and growing), but still more than what a close to hopeless player should get for a couple more years and only 2nd rounders, freaken Great Job CD!!!!
Desert - Assuming there was no inside information, etc. you should be commended at least for your ability to think like CD. Very impressive. Though, fortunately for us, CD is the GM and didn't through in that first you were willing to depart with.
Thanks for the props JZ and other guys--sorry can't give away my sources . But just when I think I am on track with CD his evil twin brother appear, as there is no way in hell I would have done the 2nd trade (MoT + 1st for Vin + Mooch). I was kidding on that one. That will teach me to be so public. But honestly I do think Mooch is probably a better emergency player when the heat turns up (pressure situations) than Barrett or Rod or anyone we can find not currently in the NBA. I would have preferred we didn't do the 2nd trade and tried to bring back MoT in the fold after we got Mike James (remember the failed Horry-Elliott trade, Horry picked it up after that). I still have a lot more confidence in MoT than Spoon or Padget or Baker to back up Howard in the playoffs. But oh well, it looks like we didn't include a 1st after all, which really made that deal look sour, particularly after what SA appeared to accomplish with their even crappy contract than MoT's. I hope Vin can give us 10-15 spot minutes, because Spoon (too shoter) or Padget (too short and too weak) versus a good western conference power forward is a lot like me trying to guard a good college player.
Now this is an example of a bad call. Calling out James and Arroyo just shouts I do not not know jack about basketall. Common now NJ.....
