I've argued with you before on The Coens, if you don't like them or No Country, then fine. Enjoy being wrong.
Holy crap. I knew I was forgetting something. I completely blanked on the Bourne movies. If I lumped them together like I did LOTR, they would easily make my top 10. I was actually glad to hear the rumor yesterday that Paul Greengrass was off the fourth Bourne movie because that likely means it won't get made...and I honestly believe that trying to continue the Bourne series will do nothing but cheapen a trilogy that is almost perfect just the way it is. Also good call on Big Fish. That would be in my honorable mention list. I absolutely adore that movie and wish Tim Burton would venture out of the realm of goth and darkness more often if that is what we would get.
She just happened to be in the background for a quick second in one of the scenes where Giamatti and Virginia Madsen are walking through a farmer's market.
Out of curiosity for those that love Sideways...is this a movie that you feel you can appreciate more if you drink wine or just drink period? Because I don't drink so all the wine discussions and aspects in this movie didn't really register. I remember enjoying the movie (only seen it the once) but not being blown away by anything other than really laughing at everything Thomas Haden Church did.
It didn't strike me as a necessary part of the film, but there were some things you could appreciate more I guess if you were into wine. I know still to this day every time I'm at a Restaurant and I see Merlot on the wine list I have the urge to shout "IF ANYBODY ORDERS ANY ****ING MERLOT I'M LEAVING"
Its cool. My mom may have been in Sideways, but I'm sure a lot of people have held your mom sideways. There, now you regret leaving rep.
i couldnt stop laughing after the merlot line. awesome. Bottle Shock is also a great movie about napa valley in its beginning.
I agree, the end had me going What the ??? Imo, The Hangover was a lot better than I expected and not hyped at all. The Goods turned out to be what I anticipated Hangover to be. I'd have Defiance at least at #10 in my list that movie was entertaining.
this movie never got the credit it deserved - i think rocky V kept alot of people from taking this one seriously, but its a really good movie.
IMHO, it ties with the first Rocky as the best Rocky movies. Those two aren't about winning, they're about trying, even when the odds are against you... believing in yourself, even when others don't... accomplishing, even through failure.
