had 3 restaurants for 2 spots - Backstreet, Boulevard, and Mockingbird. Only been there once (loved it though) and it's the newest, so it got the shaft.

p.s. pele, eye candy is always on the menu.

I like this list. Boulevard has a friendly bartender and good food. I swear their flatbread has crack in it I'm so addicted.

I will be at Ruggles tonight for dinner. That reese's dessert has got to have something like 100 grams of fat by itself.

Ever been to Crostini, on Shepherd near Westheimer?

    An extremely decadent dessert tray!

I hear good things about Fogo de Chao. Supposed to be a more upscale version of Churrascos.

I don't think it's supposed to be more upscale, more of an all-you-can-eat version. That's not exactly, right, but you get my drift.

I haven't eaten at too many places in H-town, hardly any of the nice expensive places y'all are mentioning.

As Oski was wrote in another thread, one of the best things about Fogo de Chao is the salad bar.

The rest of the food is pretty darn good, but I've never eaten at Churrascos.

My choice would be the Rainbow Lodge. Very decadent, the food is fantastic, and I guarantee that your girlfriend will be wowed as well.

Any on Buck's list is good, as well.

Does that spindletop restaurant still exist? Don't remember the food, but the view was pretty cool.

Also, have to agree that taking out your ex sounds like a weird idea :).
