I didn't think about that! The Dreamcast was my last console. I figured I'd hold out until Shenmue 3 came out, but I'm considering buying a used ps3.
My ranking would be far different, but I played games about 5 times as much in the first half of this past decade as I did the last half. But for me, nothing touches Half Life 2. And that pretty much goes for all time. Best game ever. It's so easy to forget that game is over 5 years old. The graphics and gameplay still hold up to stuff being released today.
as a non gamer, I can tell you I've heard of every game on that list. the games you guys say should be on the list, not so much just a different perspective
I haven't reallt played games that much over the last few years, but I did play a crap load earlier in the decade. Have to agree, HL2 was an amazing game and certainly one of, if not the best, FPS of all time.
Some people liken the Yakuza series to Shenmue. You might want to give one of the first two a try if you have access to a ps2.
