I don't see how Unreal TE or at least Quake be on your Top 10 (if you like 3d shoot'em ups)

    1) UnReal TE - Only game i have and play on my computer.

    2) Civilization - This game gave me loads of fun, even hacking it up to hell.

    3) Dune 2 - The first real time stratagy game

    4) Wolfenstien 3d - C'mon ... this game could fit on a single floppy disk ... and created the craze for 3D games.

The rest depends on my mood.

I was not a really big fan of Unreal Tournament. I liked Quake 3 better, but I'm more of a single-player gamer than multiplayer, so it wasn't of much consequence. And as good as the original Quake (or even the second) was, it just didn't capture my attention as much as some of the other titles. It'd be about 14 or so on my list, just behind Duke Nukem 3d. I don't like first-person shooters much (or 3rd person either, now that I think about it). All flash and no substance, imho.

I did enjoy Half-Life for a while, and No One Lives Forever, because of their stories and (in the case of NOLF) humor. Unreal tournament wasn't that good at all, to me, because it did nothing *new* besides graphical improvement.

We all know that's going to happen, I just don't think it's particularly interesting, personally.

    No question it was popular.

Why is it that everytime BC defeats a major conference opponent, that opponent promptly goes on a losing streak?

    PS. Notre Dame sucks

Hell yes!! River City Ransom will always get my vote for most fun video game of all time!! Hands down!

Also, as far as emulators go, MAME (Multi Arcade Machine Emulator) is my favorite.

    Space Ghost,

I think we're confusing the question. I took Vengeance's question to mean our favorite games and not necessarily the most influential.

If you're talking most influential, yes, Wolfenstein 3D would have to be up there, but I doubt that'd make my favorites list.

Oh, and I don't really care that much for first person shooters (Descent being the exception).

"There is a long-term study being done of women and their menstrual cycles and preliminary findings show that women in the US have had their puberty move from beginning around 15 or 16 in the 1960's to around 11 or 12 today as compared with women in China who still reach puberty around 15 or 16." -- Jeff Balke has nothing left to save (including his mind apparently) and has decided to become the Cliff Claven of the board. Go on with yer bad self, Jeff!
