The gap between #1 and #2 is pretty hefty. But the gap between #2 and the rest is HUUUUUUUUUGE. Lebron and Durant are so far ahead of the other top players sometimes it's not even worth mentioning. It's their league.
1. LeBron 2. Durant 3. Paul 3. Duncan 5. Kobe 6. Harden 7. Melo 8. Curry 9. Dwight 10. Marc Gasol 11. Parker 12. Irving 13. Love 14. Rondo 15. Rose
Not necessarily the "best" 12 players in the league but this is the top 12 players I would build my team around. I only did 12 because I can't go much further than this to start a team. Everyone else in the league is either someone I can't win with as my best player (ie Rondo/Carmelo) or is the 2nd best player for a championship contender (ie Aldridge/Love) LeBron James Kevin Durant Chris Paul Kyrie Irving James Harden Russell Westbrook Derrick Rose Stephen Curry Dwight Howard This is where it stretches. Young players with great upside. Damion Lillard Paul George John Wall
Okay, I'll give this a try (as the start of next season): 1. LBJ 2. Durant 3. CP3 4. Harden 5. Westbrook (his injury will slightly hurt his athleticism) 6. Duncan (when is he gonna slow down?) 7. Howard 8. Parker 9. Kobe (after his Achilles heals) 10. Curry 11. Rose (needs to prove himself again though) 12. Melo 13. Irving 14. Gasol 15. Griffin
Do injury's count? If not 1 James 2 Durant 3 Bryant 4 Paul 5 Anthony 6 Dwight 7 Love 8 Rose 9 Westbrook 10 Wade 11 Parker 12 Curry 13 Harden 14 Irving 15 Aldridge/Rondo
