@ESPN_NBA RT @STEIN_LINE_HQ RT @JMac_SAEN: Tony Parker has been cleared and will play some tonight vs Kings

An MRI conducted today in San Antonio revealed Spurs guard George Hill has a strained right peroneal tendon in his ankle, leaving his availability for the remainder of the regular season in doubt but will be back by the playoffs.

When you say things like that--I have a foreboding that they will surprise everyone and win the championship this year...

I think they can upset the Lakers if Manu plays the same way he's been playing the past several weeks. Parker, when healthy, is one of the best point guards in the league. If Tim Duncan can still put up 17 and 10, they will most likely beat the Lakers.

The ultimate X-Factor is Richard Jefferson. If he has his head on straight and commits to playing defense and if his shot is on, they will infact beat the Lakers.

    Parker>Fisher
    Bogans<Bryant
    Manu>Artest
    McDyess<Gasol
    Duncan>Bynum

    Bench:

While the Lakers have arguably the best 6th man in the league in Odom, their bench is really thin. They have Farmer and Brown who are legit but extremely inconsistent and Vujabitch, Walton, and Benga suck.

The Spurs have a much more balanced bench. Blair and Bonner compliment each other. One is a gritty low post banger, while the other is mostly a spot up 3 point specialist. Hill is probably better than Farmar and Brown combined at the backup point guard slot. Manu and Jefferson are each likely to be starting or backing up each other. And Bogans can really be the Bruce Bowen type player that they sorely lacked last year who can give Kobe hell.

With all of their injuries and aging stars, with jefferson a piece who doesn't quite fit, they are doing pretty well.

in the last games they have beat: the lakers, orlando, cleveland the three best teams now.

besides that lost at NJ, they look good.

i hope george hill will be back healthy for the spurs come playoff time because Hill can ball...he reminds me of a young Tony Parker.

Spurs can definately upset some teams in the playoffs.
