Jonathan Swift? wasn't he that tall white boy center on the Seattle Supersonic and later became a crackhead? They found him squandering a crackhouse with his girlfriend.
Tony Brothers is a **** ref and we all know this watching bball but it's surprising Harden didn't know this late in the game. If anything, Harden should've bit the bullet and just flopped instead of letting Smart flop on him twice.
Tony Brothers ABSOLUTELY made the CORRECT calls last night. Skip: The first thing I want to say is this game only needed was one ref: Tony Brothers. I'm gonna give him a sitting ovation right now. He did something I thought no ref would ever do. He knows a thing or two. He had the conviction to say BOOM! Offensive foul on Harden, who gets more calls in this league than a 1-800 number. He does. He was getting them all night. He was 15-15 in this game. He leads the NBA in FTA by 54 FTs. For him to have two quick calls against him in crunch time & Tony Brothers, to his credit, right on top of the play, he did not hesitate. BOOM! He threw his body into it. You fouled him. Harden got called twice.
Brothers is the worst ref in the league currently. I probably posted this in this thread already, but I remember like yesterday in Game 2 of the 08 playoffs against the Jazz when he called a bullshit Kirilenko flop against Scola, cancelling out the game tying Bobby Jackson 3 from the corner. Dude falls for flops all the time and seems to dislike certain players.
This is just a James Harden witch hunt. If that happens on Lebron or Durant most of the national media is coming to their defense and calling out Brothers. But it wouldn’t ever happen because Brothers wouldn’t call that against Lebron or Durant.
Harden is infamous in the league for his "flopping" and at this point, he cannot get rid of that reputation ever, even if he wins multiple rings so he might as well flop the **** out if he's getting guarded by someone like Marcus Smart. The only way to beat a flopper like Smart is to out-flop him. That's just how the league is these days. When's the last time you see someone get fined for "flopping"? They did that like 3 years ago but stopped giving them out completely because it's part of the game now.
I didn’t even have this on hand and I had a feeling. That playoff game vs the jazz in 08 where he gave kirilenko a flop in the crucial minutes of a close game was insane.
didnt read all 6 pages - so apologies if its been stated, but... I never saw Hitler officiate an NBA game - so can't say... lol ...but Brothers does suck... gotta be executing direction from HQ - no other reason I could see him keeping his job...
It's apparent that the NBA and Adam Silver are not attempted to improve the officiating in the league given that Tony Brothers still has a job.
