good timing on the thread. I just spit one out on saturday. I know what they are and I knew it was gonna stink so what do i do? i crush it between my fingers anyways and smell it...
Note to self, stay away from mr_gooten's house. Kinda funny this came up, a buddy of mine was talking about it and for some odd reason, I keep thinking about it because it sounded so disgusting. That forum almost made me gag, literally.
Tonsil Stones My tonsils are pretty large and sometimes I wonder why I was never told to have them removed, but I've never had them. Well, now I know we all have them, but for some unfortunate people, they get really big while the rest of us swallow them without even knowing.
I woke up and got one of these tonsil stones for the first time this morning. They stink! Any remedies? Surgery seems a bit drastic. Sorry for bumping this thread, I was looking up "Tonsil Stones" on google and found a Clutchfan thread on it
Yea i get those from time to time. THe first time I got one, I noticed it at the back of my throat [my throat was itchy, and it felt like I had food stuck there] So I see this white piece and cant seem to hack it out. I'm thinking here that its just a piece of cauliflower that I had eat for lunch that day. I pick at it until it gets dislodged. It looked like a small piece of cauliflower, but hte texture was different. So i proceed to smell it, and gag so much that the rest of the "real cauliflower" was about the come out. It smells bad. Do not smell it! [even though I kno yall will]
Wow, am I glad I stumbled on this thread... <throws_up> on a side note this would have been a great item to discuss over the weekend while WeeMan was over at my place. Thanks for helping me shed those pounds I put on over the weekend guys.
Come to think of it, it's been a little while since I got one of these. I usually have them about 2-3 times a week though. I too wondered just what in the hell these were, so I went to google did some pentagon investigations and found it. Sometimes I'll chew them just because they taste so bad (yeah it makes no sense) and most of the time I'll put them on my finger and flick them across the room.
eerie as hell. just found one last night and proceeded to smell it. glad to know that i'm not the only curious sniffer. gawd almighty, they stink.
Actually tonsil removal is tonsillectomy. In a uvulopalatopharyngoplasty, the uvula, tonsils, adenoids, all or part of the soft palate, and sometimes the pharynx are removed. The only reason I know about the procedure is because I had it done several years ago.
