    NCSTATEFAN,

If he didn't lose the game, why do you want to bench him. He was the top scorer on 50% shooting. The Clipps SGs both shot horribly. What more do you want from him? Does he need to hit every shot? No turnovers? What level of contribution is enough for the Mobley hatas?

I know it really isn't his job per se, but maybe he could get his mates involved?

Depends if it's a high schooler or not. If it is a well established college 3, then that means we may need another basketball. I expect EG to get the ball more, and both Franchise and Cat need the ball in their hands to be effective. Not to mention, Kt (if he's here) and MoT need the ball as well.

If we land a high pick, I suggest packaging him and one of our starters (noone should be untouchable) for a huge star, maybe a player of KG or Duncan's stature.

If you looked at KT after the jump ball, you would have seen his perplexed look on his face because the ref threw the ball up before he was ready. Calvin and Bill were thinking the same thing, but it looks as if it was just a fast throw.

Nonetheless, what a pathetic game!!!

Steve--take care of those migraines...Rudy---lets see what T Mo and the other youngsters have Cato---keep up the good work because you have proved me dead wrong in your ability to play well...Kiki---take some more of those drugs you took just before you unloaded your team to Dallas and when you are nice and high...we will give you Mo T and Langhi for Dice!!!!!

We sucked before the game. The Clippers are a .500 ballclub and have a better record than we do. They still should be saying "if we can't beat the Rockets, then we suck". They did, so they just happen to suck less. That being said, we both suck.

Have you ever seen what happens to Griffin when he goes inside? It's like watching a pinball.

    NJ Rocket,

Hope your post was tongue in cheek!

What worries me is the lack of mental toughness and the pseudoarrogance of this team. THEY ARE NOWHERE CLOSE TO BEING A TEAM -just a bunch of players. Last nite was clearly major regression!!

Our backcourt kicked ass you say?

A combined 7 assists(0 for Mobley) on 8 TO's. That is NOT good.

Eddie Griffin took 4 shots. He should've dominated considering he was up against (tighten your seatbelts) FOWLKES. HE got more shots than Eddie.

Jeez, what's it gonna take for these sometimes THICK Rockets to get that, we have a lot of VERY capable scorers, take the pressure off, rack up the assists. The NBA should keep a record of how many times Jason Kidd, Andre Miller and Jamaal Tinsley have individually out-assisted our team.

I'm not only blaming the guards, don't get me wrong. I'm blaming everyone. It's EVERYONE's fault. VERY VERY rookie game from us. No other words to describe it.

Dallas Rocket...I agree...we are fun to watch at times but that is about the extent of it. I just hope management realizes that MO T coming back next year is not going to make us any better...i feel like we need to rebuild all over again. It pains me to say it but we really have no chemistry...and I dont know what it is...maybe its Francis' headaches...maybe it Mobley's selfighness...maybe it IS Mo T (although i beg to differ)...maybe I'll go throw up.

And tanking, however creatively, is the point of this season. Otherwise, Rudy isn't much of a coach....but that's opening another can of worms.

I think Eddie getting into foul trouble didn't help get those extra shots. He got in foul trouble early and that was basically it for him.

I guess this post fits in this thread. IMO, the biggest problem last night was too much Steve and Cat. I know they both had good shooting percentages, but they did not get anyone else involved in the offense and it killed them when the game was on the line.

Combined, Steve and Cat took 40 shots. The other three starters combined took 15 shots. Griff may have gotten into foul trouble, but he logged 29 minutes and only took 4 shots. That is not balanced scoring, not team basketball and definately not something you can build upon.

It was almost like Steve and Cat decided they were so hot, they didn't need any help and could beat the Clippers by themselves.

It is easy to look at 10-20 shooting and say they had great games, but who got the win?

By the way, Moochie had 2 points in 25 minutes. Where are all the 3-guard offense pimps?

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. If Shaq is comfortable passing the ball out to Lindsey Hunter, Devean George, whoever, then Cuttino should be comfortable passing to Rudy if he has to.

Cuttino, we know you can score. In fact, personally, I don't think anyone can stop you but yourself. But everyone knows that now, so just get 3 or 4 assists, take the pressure off YOURSELF.

I wish we could re-build. But we have an $8M Glen Rice, who hasn't been healthy for 2 seasons, we have Mo T who tore his achilles tendon from BOTH sides, then went and got a suspension for smoking mar1juana, and Cato will make 7M by the time the next deadline is here. These people aren't tradeable. It's not that I don't like these players, but they're not worth the money they're "earning".

It's also become quite obvious that not Kenny Thomas nor Eddie Griffin is a SF. Send one to the bench. Rookie Wall? This is the great wall of CHINA.

This game was on a silver platter. How could we lose?

    JESUS CHRIST.

Had te Rockets been in the same situation, Rudy would have made a comment about how many games in how many nights. The difference between the clipps and the Rockets was and is number 42. Jumpers come and go, but inside play is more consistent than any jump shooter you can pull out your ass. I don't care about whatever spacing you pull out, the best spacing steve or cat or an other guard can have is a post player, ask Kobe. Brand was difference and is the difference with or without Taylor or whoever people want to lay blame about our woes. They din't try to mail it in , they did mail it in with a little help from Elton and company.
