Well all I have to say right now is the team is in first place in the west as we speak. Although it is preseason, I will take it. In addition to being in the top spot, we are the number one scoring team in the west. All of this with countless people out. Certainly starting off on the right foot. Early indications on Yao are more positive than I expected at this time and that also provide some additional comfort that top 4 in the west is more than reasonable. Other than our injuries so far there is no evidence to date that we are inferior to any of the big boys and while the national media types continue to rank us low, you get the distinct feeling that they see what we are seeing (depth, firepower, improved defense) but are adopting the typical wait and see attitude.
