I can't wait to see him fight De La Hoya and swim against Phelps. Even with the handicap against Phelps, he'll get OWNED.
I don't think the actual game was staged except for the Shaq INT return for a TD. That was MEGA STAGED. The Shaq lateraling and going out as a receiver may have been staged as well but I could also see Shaq pulling that out of his butt on the fly.
The show bored me to the point I missed the actual competition. They should switch to a 30min segment instead of an hour.
That may have been one of the worst shows i've ever seen... it looked incredibly staged. The first 40 minutes was filler and even the actual "game" was pretty boring and seemed like no one knew how to play football.
Both of those were clearly staged as well as Shaq's first touchdown. I like how the receiver kept running but the defensive backs magically stopped.
Here's the skinny: "Shaq Vs." will follow O'Neal and his weekly competitor as they go through the training process -- and even hold a press conference before the big day. O'Neal will train for a week leading up to each challenge; to keep the playing field level, he'll also negotiate a handicap with each opponent. Other athletes facing off with O'Neal include tennis champ Serena Williams; boxer Oscar de la Hoya; baseball star Albert Pujols; and Olympic volleyball gold medalists Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor.
Here's a vid clip of the Shaq v De La Hoya "fight". <a href="http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=62165511">Shaq Fights Down at Oscar de la Hoya's Level (MySpace Exclusive)</a><br/><object width="425px" height="360px" ><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"/><param name="wmode" value="transparent"/><param name="movie" value="http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=62165511,t=1,mt=video"/><embed src="http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=62165511,t=1,mt=video" width="425" height="360" allowFullScreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent"></embed></object>
