Texans defensive end J.J. Watt – or, more specifically, an animated approximation — made a brief animated appearance Wednesday during the season’s final episode of “South Park.” Titled “#HappyHolograms,” the episode fused parodies of several points of mockery during the show’s recent 10-episode run, including the Washington Redskins trademark dispute, cable customer service agents, the singer Lorde, transgender restrooms and the Internet video game commentator Felix Kjellberg, aka @pewdiepie. For good measure, it satirized elements surrounding police involvement in the deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., and Eric Garner in New York, the decline in audience totals for television and music, the increased attention given to social media and trending commentary, allegations of sexual misconduct directed toward Bill Cosby and, for good measure, featured the return of Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur in hologram form. Watt’s role was as an alleged guest star in a show titled “The Washington Redskins’ Go (Bleep) Yourself” holiday special. His likeness appeared on screen for about two seconds, hugging a reindeer, but otherwise had no role in the plot’s development. There also were holograms of Kurt Cobain and Elvis Presley. http://blog.chron.com/ultimatetexans/2014/12/j-j-watt-makes-brief-appearance-on-star-studded-episode-of-south-park/#29068101=0
Yes. I haven't been keeping up this season and it seemed like there was a continued story arc. But even if I had seen the whole season up to that point, I doubt I would have enjoyed that episode. I didn't even crack a smile once.
