    Great news..

I'm interested to hear if you can verify the part about Cuttino being ready to opt out..

And for the guy who said we should be getting Nelson if Boki's included:

    1. the Magic are already selling Nelson jerseys
    2. If they are moving Steve to the 2, it's because they want Nelson to start at the 1.

Doc, I am confused about Lue?

Wasn't it posted that he can opt of his contract this Wed? which could throw a wrench in the current deal? His agent sounded like he was 100% he would opt out.

why would it throw a wrench in the deal if its completed before Wednesday. He is traded to the rockets and then opts out. We aren't making this trade to acquire him, he's just filler :)

It's ok for him to opt out after the trade. Anyway, there are other many PG free agents for sure who would want to be a part of this great team we're going to build......

If only Howard could/would opt out on Wednesday also this trade would be perfect.

I can see Orlando becoming a run and gun type of team (just don't give to Cato on the fastbreak ;)). So its possible they won't mind seeing Steve try to guard McGrady or bigger guards like that.

I hear Paul Westhead is available for a head coaching job..................

I don't recall Hill being much better than an average defender, though it has been a few years. ;)

But Grant Hill on his now less than 100% wheels and one of his frontcourt mates being 18 years old with the other guarding Yao vs. Tmac? That could get ugly.

Of course, seeing Steve try to get into a shootout with TMac could get ugly, too. Steve's scored 40+ like twice in his career. TMac did it 8 times last season.

codell- Hard to believe, Cato will be a gigantic upgrade as an interior force for them.

An upgrade over what they had, yeah.

The thing is, for how many minutes?? Cato has yet to prove he can be effective for more than 25 mins or so.

Well, one thing's for sure -- it's going to be interesting watching Stevie spend a season at the 2.

Just glad we get to see that experiment on someone else's dime!

Doc, Clutch and Pops have traditionally been the BBS's top info sources. Obviously they are not always right, but usually they are right on the money and many times they have broken huge moves before anyone else.

Great news Doc. I have nothing but great things about you on this board so this REALLY eases my mind.

I was thinking back to one of Doc's lastest threads. It was right after the Rockets were eliminated by the Lakers and he said how Francis was talking about he knew was going to be traded and what rumors he has been hearing about where he would end up. If this is true, how can he possibly b**** about JVG lying to him about the subject and say he didn't know anything was happening?

    What a joke!
