Yea it's a joke. And let me appologize to Kieth Boggan for the ebonics. A white boy's attempt at cross-cultural humor. To be expected I guess since Chris Rock became mainstream. (though I did restrain myself from having Stevie use Chris's quote about 'rims' in his offer to Boggan .)
Welcome to the board! Always fascinating to see what triggers a first post years after registering. You picked a great reason to de-lurk. I seem to remember Hudson having some MONSTER games over the last year or so. It would be nice to have someone like him that can light it up from the arc when Yao is being double-teamed and T-Mac is out of the game (or injured), but can he pass well? We should probably continue in one of the other threads specifically about point guards, but I'm gonna wait for the trade to go down first before joining the discussion.
Here's a post I wrote in another less popular thread: From a PR stand point I'm not sure why they would make the Stevie announcement today. They will already have a feel-good story in today's news cycle with Jameer Nelson. It's was pretty obvious on draft day they plan to use the kid's story for all it's worth. I would give it atleast one more day. Have Steve fly in late today (send the corporate jet for him so he stays under the radar), Have him meet and greet the team officials tonight and show up with a blue #3 jersey at a press conference tomorrow. You'd get a whole nother day with a lead story, and you would be building on the Nelson/Howard thing. Or, in the land of Disney, I might build the suspense as much as I could by extending the announcement right up to the deadline. It keeps the audience on the edge of their seats.. It just seems like even an NBA genius like Puckhead would understand gleening all the coverage he can from this week for his last place team. It's his 15 minutes before a long 30-51 season.
2:50 here on the east coast. And how late do people expect announcements could be made? I'm sure the teams' media relations people go home for the day long before we stop reading the board. I'm guessing if we don't hear something by early evening (7pm or so EST), we won't hear today.
Well judging from Weisbrod's comments on ESPN news a little while ago, I'd go with the theory that he'll drag this out until tomorrow for just a little more publicity. He was saying how they're still looking at a variety of options, including keeping T-Mac, but that they're talking to a number of teams. What an ass-clown.
Even it they did decide to break it today it would be much better to do it as 'break in announcement' on the 6 o'clock local news. But I'd look for Tuesday or Wednesday if Lue's option isn't a problem.
this is my first post here I'm so tired of this trade and feel like it'll never come to an end where is ROCKETS' GM?? Where is ROCKETS' MEDIA?? Can anyone please give some information and end this frustration??
welcome to the board, apparently the trade is supposed to be announced and made final today!! apparently
