Can anyone name a scoring champion who didn't shoot more than his teammates? McGrady is easily a top five talent who is just entering the prime of his career. He is a perfect complement to Yao, and a welcome relief to anyone who watched the Rockets' offense struggle last season. This will be among the most significant moves the team has ever made.

Everyone contemplated trading Steve Francis at some point.

No one during the season would have dreamed that Steve would be able to bring Tracy McGrady.

It amazes me that McGrady basically chose Houston. I think this was critical to the deal.

Was it Yao? Wow what a miracle for the Rockets that we got that #1 pick and were able to draft Yao.

Now if Yao improves a little bit more and we bring in the right complimentary players we take a huge step forward.

CD has pulled off a whopper if it all happens.

    Man, pinch me.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say that Cato will be the backup center for the Eastern Conference in next year's All Star Game. I think he will be a very effective center playing an Eastern Conference schedule. He doesnt have to guard Shaq (unless he goes to the east), nowitzski, duncan, stoudamire, and garnett four time a year each any more.

It was only a few weeks ago we talked about Francis barely bringing anyone by his play in houston and what was gong on with JVG.

I know that Steve is a big part of the deal to the media, but i really think Cat and Cato make the deal work, not just Francis.

I've always enjoyed Doc's posts...especially everybody's take on them. But gosh guys, why haven't anybody commented on this part?

He starts off Ho Hum - we won our third (T-mac)....Ho hum setting the excitement degree. He ends Let's go for four (pf)...no news...ho hum.

To me he's saying there's somebody big out there we're interested in.

...(maybe I'm reading tooooo much into it...but daaaang, Doc trained me to)

    rhester...

I understand what your saying...McGrady and Kobe were the last players I figured would never come here...

They're players that every team wants but can't afford to give up the talent to get them...

It's crazy that Steve Francis' headache problems caused all of this...actually if you wanna go back...talk about Horry and Cassell for Barkley...

Yao Ming changed the future of this squad... Steve was our "Franchise" player...but it seems that Les wanted a "Dynasty" player like Yao...

I thank Steve and Cuttino for what they did...they brought back excitement about Rockets Basketball...they gave the team a nice vibe...You have to admit: Cato was one of your favorites towards the end.

I went to like 7 games and I felt our fanbase...

Now it's team to take our team on that "Top Tier List"...

well that's if we get the right role players around Yao and McGrady...

Can you imagine the Rockets Vs. Lakers in the playoffs???
    or Us Vs. Spurs,

I can't wait to be on every channel next year...our games will get broadcasted on alot of channells like Espn, Espn2, ABC, TNT, NBAtv...

    imagine our All-Star squad...

    Yao, Duncan, Garnett, McGrady, Bryant

You've got a point. I'd dismiss this out of hand, but he DOES say "Let's go for four...no news...ho hum". Perhaps we ARE looking to upgrade our PF spot. Sneaky... Doc... sneaky... Spill the beans!

Jerry: Oh, I don't know. I told them Stevie Franchise's death as a Rocket takes place in the shadow of new life. Steve's not really dead if we find a way to remember him.

    George: What is that?

    Jerry: Star Trek II.

    George: Wrath of Khan!

    Irony is a killer. :)

Sac? With JN as the 1 I think sac is the way wrong term. Iverson has Snow, Stevie at the 2 with Nelson is plain wrong, IMO.

Sorry, but I will follow Steve and Cat, and pull for them mightily. I still pull for Sammy. Still marvel at Horry's sleep thru May approach.

Ex-Rox remain part of my enjoyment of the smorgasboard of NBA hoops.

Go Stevie! Go Cat. Oh, come on TMAC!!!

With all due respect to T-MAC, he has'nt got anything on clyde. Having said that, When Tracy reaches his full potential, he might even surpass clyde!

Every report has Steve VISITING and working out everything. It wouldn't surprise me if the announcement wasn't made until later today or even first thing Tuesday. But, I bet we'll hear something tonight one way or the other.

LOL Codell, this one should be a permanent classic, available on the front page for years..

Do us a favor though - after the trade goes down, can you do another one just like it, except in the background, actually show SF in an Orlando jersey? :) Pretty please?

    You rock!
