Man, I am jealous of you. There has been sooo much stress for the past week + over this trade. You missed it all only to come back as soon as it will be finalized. My 25 bags under each eye, my newly grey hair at 26 years old, along with my sore "refresh-clicking" finger curse you behind your back.

Thanks DocRocket! I think moving Steve to SG is going to be a good move actually. He's only about 2" shorter than most SGs but he also probably jumps higher than about 90% of them. Guarding guys like Kobe and T-Mac should be tough but who doesn't get torched by those guys. The J-Rich trade for Orlando is interesting. I didn't realize the guy had such strong numbers last year although I think his jumpshot is still real shaky. Before I saw the stats I thought his numbers and Mobes would be about the same. Orlando should have gone with Okafor though. They would be a very good team with him manning the middle and doing the dirty work. Howard could become the next KG, but Okafor was a sure thing and I think could be a player like Zo who can make your defense.
Man, talk about stress...I'm glad this whole thing is about to be resolved. I just saw my doctor and he let me know that I've developed a hernia due to stress, and I like to think a large part of that is thanks to TMac. This is going to be one hell of a season.
I have only a one comment with regards to SF moving to the 2 spot in Orlando... Who cares!!!! Thats not our problem anymore. The minute he becomes Orlando property he will be on my hate list wich includes everyone in the league not wearing White -n- Red or throwback Red -n- Yellow. By the way At the top of the list I include: 1)Karla 2)Stockton 3)La Lakers past and present 4)Nate Mcmillian/Hersey HAwkins 5)rest of league.

those a valid concerns IMO. However, I still strongly believe TMac has the ability to bring rox to another level, based on the fact that he can still shoot pretty efficiently even when he's the only legitimate offensive option in his team. would his shots go down when he move to rox? most certainly. would his percentage raise a bit as a result? I'm optimistic about that. so all in all, I think his scoring would probably drop a little, but would still be one of the top scorers in the league. now, with his 6"8 frame, if only JVG can make him defend... as of nash... a lot of posters here think nash got no defense whatsoever and that's the major complain I believe. personally, I really like his playmaking ability and believe this outshines his lack of defense. but like it or not, I really don't see a realistic chance of us out-bidding mark cuban though.
That trade breaks one of the many little known trade rules in the NBA. When you get someone in a trade you can not trade them as part of a PACKAGE for 60 after you got him. unless it was a 3-team deal.
I've heard a report saying Troy Hudson would like to play with TMac again if he goes to Hou. I see a lot of people talking about Fisher. In my opinion Hudson is he is more of a threat from downtown and also a much better passer/playmaker. Fisher is a better defender and a lot less injury prone. But if we get Lue we have a serviceable backup. If we get Gaines instead, who knows. We would probably need another vet backup then. My ideal lineup: PG Hudson -- Lue, Gaines or other SG McGrady -- J Jackson, Piatkowski SF J Howard or J Jackson -- Nachbar PF M Taylor, J Howard, or possibly A McDyess (i hope) -- Spoon C Y Ming -- cheap free agent backup 1st two off the bench --- combination of either Taylor, Howard, or Jackson To me that looks so nice. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the trade to be finalized, and some more good work from the front office the rest of the offseason. GO ROCKETS!!! There , I was talkin' about a possiblilty that the ROXS might go after T-Mac 2 my brother-in-law, & he was shocked, bcuz he's a fan of SF! Anyway, 2 make you feel better , the flight from China Airlines, from Taipei to L.A. had NO 2 VERY LITTLE AIr-con. about a little over 13 hrs across the Pacific Ocean !!! Man, what a HOT flight!
If I'm not mistaken, there is a 48 hour window after you trade for a guy that you can trade him again. Otherwise you can't trade him for two months.
