OH, okay. I understand. As I typed that I was thinking that that might have been what you meant. I wonder who will be our starting PG next season. Also, our back up C.
I'd bet on either Derek Fisher or Brent Barry. So either we are getting a good defender who can hit big shots, or we are getting a tall PG who can shoot from anywhere on the court. Either way i'm happy
Who's up for creating a Tip Jar Contribution thread once the press conference commences tomorrow? I think I remember someone mentioning the idea earlier and agreed it'd be worthwhile.
For more telling than Gaines pre-draft assessments is that Gaines was unprotected in the expansion draft, and of course Charlotte passed on him which I why we can get him. Further, they seem a lot higher on Nelson despite him being a later pick in generally considered a deeper draft. I am hopefull he can develop into a player and regular contributer, but being realistic the odds are against him being a major contributor at least for next year are slim.
I know I am only a junior member on this board. However, are you sure MacGrady is really a top five in the league? shouldn't we take into account the fact that he shooted much more than any of his teammates, which helped him to claim the scoring champion status? Yes, the team needs face lifting. But it's too early to say with the addition of MacGrady, the team is bound for greatnessor eventually championship. I wish the best for the team. But I will keep my doubt until proven wrong. By the way, why not give a shot at Steve Nash ? Fisher is no good. Like Robert Horry who somehow ruined the Spurs' chance to consecutive champion by failing to make a impact, Derek Fish is on the downhill as well. I see no piont in signing this guy. =========================== I am not saying I'm always right. But I did say before the postseason we had no chance against the Lakers with a healthy Malone. Unfortunately, that came true. IMO, Malone's injury cost the lakers another champion. However, with the MacGgrady trade, I have doubts versus conviction.
Thanks Doc. I never lost faith....blockbusters take a while, and I have never seen a blockbuster deal that was this close fall apart. Good for all involved. Funny how Steve gets moved to the 2 by the Magic, when neither Rudy nor Gumby had the sack to do it. Oh well, we got Tracy...errrr...T-mac. DD
Anyone reading the magic realgm board? There saying after the trade tommorow, there going to turn around and trade mobley and gooden to G.S. for j.richardson. LoL. The warriors would be getting raped in my opionon.
I disagree. Gooden's a tweener forward in the Antawn Jamison mold, and Mobley's a better defender than Richardson and is better at dribble penetration. It would be a reasonably fair deal, though I don't know if the Warriors need Gooden with Troy Murphy and Mike Dunleavy Jr. on deck
Man I think Orlando is really dropping the ball on this one. Howard instead of Okafur. And now moving Steve to SG, and moving Cat and possibly Cato. I think this lineup really had potential: Steve Cat Garrity Okafur Cato Scoring backcourt and two defensive minded big men. They'd be Detroit-lite and I think a definite contender for home court advantage in the first round of the east.
I just got back from the Philippines on vacation for OVER 3 weeks....and I hear that T-MAC will be A ROXs!!! Dreams do come true ! I can't wait 2 see this being finalize! Now, I hope we can do more MOVES 2 better this team!
