This might be the first halftime show I'll watch in years. I'm hoping to get the 4 disc set with the movie for Hanukkah. At least, that's the hint I've been dropping to my wife.

You would rather see Petty than Prince? Petty is cool and all but Prince is a god.

Any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Prince is the 1980's. Petty is ageless.

Prince has more universal appeal than Petty. Though I enjoy Tom Petty, I don't think it's superbowl halftime music. they're just running down a dream.

Let's face it, when it comes to Super Bowl halftime shows, there is Up with People, and there is everything else...

petty is old, which is the exact audience who can afford the superbowl tickets in ARIZONA. Might as well get Wayne Newton.

I think the NFL is way too paranoid about "wardrobe malfunctions", so expect old geezers at the halftime show for a LONG time.

Don't worry, I'm sure Soulja Boy's time will come around Super Bowl 75 or so...

Um, I don't think Petty will be playing his 2007 hits.

    Bring back Prince.

We need more guitar-c*ck stroking action.

If it were me, I'd put Will Smith. Everybody loves Will Smith (even the old rich people at the superbowl).

he can pull out a bunch of awesome old school and newer stuff.

Oh, My My, Oh, Hell Yes...

I love Petty, but have to disagree - Prince is the master. It would be hard to top his performance from last year.

I guess that's why you don't book Super Bowl talent, eh? :D
